I'm sure Fred is too busy making my custom rear cap one first.:poke:

Well, the lenses did not arrive today after all, so that means tomorrow. That gives me another day to work on the four or five Luce's still in the machining phase, including olrac's and JohnTz'.

I'd say if I were a wagering type, I'd bet on delivery of those in May.

It's like the second production year of any car, all the bugs will be worked out by the time we get ours :)

OK, no joke--I actually have some Luci to mail out tomorrow, since the lenses came in today.

Being shipped tomorrow:

karlthev -- Ti, green H3
Nebula -- Ti, blue H3
jch79 -- Ti, green 18mm H3
Olaf_S -- 2-tone AL, green H3
gjg -- 2-tone AL, blue H3

Ready to ship, but not paid for yet:

JohnnyDeep -- Ti
ouchmyfinger -- Stainless Steel

If they aren't heard from in a couple of days, I'll put those Luci up for sale.

OMF's is an 11mm sphere as it is a stainless steel Luce--those are all the smaller diameter. The 18mm only fits in the Ti, or the large brass or large aluminum versions.

Still working on a few Luci, including a brass one for a customer who wanted a tailcap design that I had already considered, but never made, since it would have made the Luce even more expensive than it is.

Polycarbonate rod will still allow a little light out the tail end, while being protected from wear. The customer insists that he plans on carrying it in his pocket. I don't think he should have chosen brass for his Luce though. :D

The Luce will have it's own glow when polished, of course.

I love being the customer:twothumbs! Starting to look good Fred!

I know it may be a little heavier but the value of this cap design lies in two areas for me. First the light can tail stand without scratching up the rear flat acrylic dome. Important for me as I plan on walking to the bathroom and kitchen with it at night and leaving it on tile or granite counter tops. I also didn't want to use a solid rear cap because I like the locator function of the back end.

Second when I carry it in the pocket to work to impress my friends, the acrylic will be protected again. I will have to wear my re-inforced pants and belt to support the weight.

What a jewel! Got mine with a blue trit today, too. Machining and finish are immaculate. May have to get another with a 18mm green trit on the THIRD run...
Thanks, Fred!
