I am thinking of doing a midnight stroll around Admiralty/Woodlands tonight. Roadie and any other denizens of Marsiling, if you want to meet up shoot me a PM. I'll be bringing mag623, Quad p7 and 7 x P4 with me...

Count me in too... in a flash & with shining spirits from this end!!!!

My X21 just arrived which took under 50 hours to be delivered by a special courier service!!!

I shall test-fire at the later part of the night on the 7 LED critters that comes with this mini canon!!! after i get back from a dining date in the city.

I'll see if I can secure pics on it... but no promise as yet... it all depends!

Sorry if I am hijacking your thread. Will be having informal smaller scale meet up at admiralty park this thurs 23rd July at 9pm for the northerners who find Pasir Ris a bit too far away. So far myself and Roadie only, but everyone is welcome to join us.

nope, its not my thread, but i think your notice is too short for most who may be keen. yes, i realise get-togethers at extreme east or west the respond may be rather muted.

but i'll wait out for others who may not log on that regularly, hopefully they will check back on the thread. :sleepy:

If I may suggest, to help you consolidate effectively, and since it is obvious that this common get together is a genuine hobby gathering of EDCers... (and not promoting/soliciting sales etc...) you may want to consider PMing those whom you know and propose directly.

This way, it will get to their attention by mail (subject to their CPanel settings about Email reminders) and if anyone still chose to ignore or fail to respond, at least you get a clearer overview of the situation before pressing further or wait endlessly...

thanks, i have considered the PM, sms option but more often i would prefer it to be an open invitation. also, a close knit group sometimes hinters new entrants to join. i prefer a non exclusive grouping to know more local CPFers during outings.

i do not know enough (& well enough) local CPFers locally to organise regular get together on a regular basis. also, i do not wish to be the default organiser, lol. :green:

Seein as how i will probably just cycle over from tampines, i can just look around for a bunch of flashaholics playin with lights. My meagre collection will join me would be nice to see how the budget lights perform though my only monster is a Led Lenser P14. More interested to see how the low output lights perform.

As for venue, you're talkin about that part of Pasir Ris park that is near the walkways that sort of go through the mangroves? went through there once at night lookin for fishing grounds, CREEPY man, let me get the LEDs blessed first for some holy light!

Well U R right on that score regarding the obvious header however, viewing at the current response... it is clear, only a less than handful is active and hesitant as well to participate ... anyway, an open invi is the way to go and a minimum of 10 to set the norm is a healthy target to be honest... I wish your calling of Flash-A-Holics all the best... :twothumbs

it was pretty dark tonight and suddenly my dear friend snailmeat, shined his multi cree setup on a civilian whom sneaking walking in the park .LOLS!

no worries, i managed to please the guy with our assests ...

Roadie, which laser did you modd btw? Green or red type? Can you share its finish end with a pic? I'm interested in one if you succeeded with a good range running on 2 AAs or just a single or perhaps 3 AAAs?

No night shifts I hope?), I can set aside some time while I'm in Spore for a short hop.. location doesn't matter as I have a Hertz rented for the time there. As my TK40 and T1 is a standard EDC in my backpack, they'll come along next to the X21.

Why don't you organise one for that when the date is nearer? On top of an open invitation, you could even pm like you suggested.
