Seeking a volunteer to bring an iPod or iPhone filled with PARTY music (fun background stuff - most people will want to talk).

The hotel will have a BOSE wave radio there - it requires that the iPod/Phone bringer also have a mini stereo cable to connect the audio and their USB cable and wall adapter to power the iPxxx/x.
I will bring along some of the sweetest techno/trance mixes to ever grace your ears...

It is so hard pouring through all the information on Vegas buffets (#1 seems to change every other day), but this is looking like a real winner.

Wow. Just thinking back; The first time that I have ever left my daughter was to attend a SHOT show and CPF gathering many years ago. It was a struggle for me as a full time single parent. Now that she is a teen, It is like; "Just go Dad."

FLASHBACK OVER and back to reality, CPF at SHOT 2010 is full speed ahead. Most all plans are now in place. We will have a great week at the show.

See you there!

...yeah, except for that 105-minute wait time to get in to eat. Are we sure this is the one we want? After a long day pounding the concrete at the SHOT Show, I'll be ready to sit and eat, not stand in line and smell the wonderful food.

See below, emphasis added.

Yes, it's true. We saw the sign while staying our first night at the Flamingo! Went for Breakfast at 8am at Rio and signed up. Dinner is $25/person so this is a great deal. The only drawback is that you still have to wait inthe lineup to get in again. This took 1hr and 45 minutes so be prepared. Because of this, we only ended up going to Dinner (in addition to the Breakfast). We had dinner at 6pm and planned on going back at 9pm (closes at 10am) but was not humgry and did not want to travel that way from the Flamingo again. It would be worth it if you stayed at the Rio.

Guys - I used to stay at the Rio every year attending NAB in a former career. The buffets are decent but the Rio is not well located; it's off the Strip and across a highway so it's not a great choice for a GTG.

I don't have an ipod :p I'm sure whoever is dj'ing can load it in :p
I'm open for a better buffet place for wednesday. Imperial was chosen only because the price isn't bad and it's not far from the venetian.

My feeling is that the food is a secondary matter. I think that the GTG is the primary reason most folks are going to attend.

But that's just my opinion.

Nothing wrong with the Imperial for me re buffet, and it is close to the show, so we don't have to hustle around town after 5PM.

Somebody told me that the Imperial Palace buffet has an all-day pass for $25 plus tax. Might be a good deal if you're in the area at least twice in one day. Or, maybe not leave after breakfast! Is it a calendar day or 24 hours?? Confirmation??

At the last show in Vegas we did a night shootout out in the mountains and it was a blast.

Maybe Friday night or Saturday night we could all go out into the middle of nowhere (maybe the same place as before) and have another shootout and maybe a night hike?

I really liked the hiking idea from earlier, and think having a night hike would be that much better...

Agreed. The shootout along Frenchman Mountain was cool. Mr. Police officer thought we were nuts. A correct observation on his part. The barrier this year seems to be transportation. Not many with vehicles this year. Do you remember the stop to hike along Well Road with all the UV glowing rocks when we were heading to the historic Pioneer Saloon?

Several new edits/additions to the logistic thread completed.
