Yes, it was a good one - just like all the others have been. Thanks to Scott and Heather for such great hospitality. It's always great to see new things and talk with such well informed people on a range of topics.

Data - you always bring something that wows me - helicopters, DataBank70, tanklight, Mammoth, magnets, BattleMug! - thanks for sharing.

Does anyone remember the model name of the Dorcy XML light that runs on 6x AAs? That was a very impressive light. My wife like the Dorcy light that I got alot - Thanks KartRacer

Milky - thanks for taking my Peak FirstResponder to your lab and cleaning up the beam. It is now my favorite light. You do great work.

I bought one of the Dorcy Metal Gear XL-M Extreme 600 Lumen flashlights right after I heard about it from Tim. Here is a video of me caught hiking in the woods after dark with this flashlight. The bad video does not do the light justice, though, sorry.

Looks like I need to make sure I go to the next get together. Actually this is the first one I've missed in a while.

really liked the small intimate group.
thanks scott and heather for your great hospitality.
thanks tim for the the dorcy flashlights.

btw scott, walmart is having a sale on legos. might want to check them out.

Walmart B&M - LEGO Clearance - 50% off many Lego sets - Master Thread - YMMV The Deal: Walmart B&M has many different LEGO sets on clearance for approximately 50% of MSRP. Many of the tags on the shelf may still show full price so you have a good chance of finding items if they haven't marked them correctly.

This Thread: Is an attempt to provide a complete list of sets that are marked down and a list of those that are not. I spent a couple hours at a few different Walmarts using the obnoxiously loud price checker to find the deals and hope to save others that hassle.

50% off sets:

Ok whens PF18????? I missed 17 due to the re-schedule.

Mac

Hey Mac! No date scheduled as yet, but it's always a Saturday and tends to take place anytime from the tail end of March, through the beginning of May. Are any days in that range particularly good/bad for you? (... or for anyone else, for that matter??)

I can make it April 14th, if that works? (More Marathon is the 15th, so I will be in NYC over that weekend)

Provided I don't have any prior commitments on the finalized date, I'm in! Also, any chance one of you attending owns a calibrated IS (or has access to one?). I'd love to bring some lights for testing and will gladly pay for the service.

Cheers,
Tim

IS! We just use ones in the newcomers eye sockets

Ha!, is that the one where we take turns shining lights into the newcomers' eyes and timing how long it takes before their vision recovers? :)

Wait... this will be the first time I'll be attending, does that make me a new... :duh2:

EDIT: LOL, your profile explains it all...
