ROFL:laughing::laughing::laughing: My wife hates CPF but she still loves me.
Buy the misses a new coach purse and all will be restored.
You however have your own issues to work out like the rest of us.

Its a fine line between love and hate.

Agree 100% on the Coach. Took my wife (unbeknownst to her) to the Coach store on mothers day open the door and said "pick one", results...... happiest woman ever!

You do know that the Quark AA can take a Li-ion right?

Yes, and you can also switch out its head, and so on.

The point I was trying to make is that you're never really completely done looking for the perfect light to rule them all. Probably some of it has to do with different lights being better at different things, and of course the technology continuous to progress too.

I saw a quote once: "The cure for bordome is curiousity. There is no cure for curiousity."

Hmmm... I wonder what light I should buy next? :grin2:

Try walking into the Camera store or gun store with her and see what happens.
I handed her the credit card, put on QVC when they had a sale on Dooney & Burke and made her buy a purse.

Although a recent poster, I've been reading these forums diligently since 09 and have been into flashlights as long as I can remember.
I found CPF after buying a PS3 and my first web search for "flashlights" led me here. I used to baulk at the idea of spending eighty bucks on a light, terms like "are you on glue" or "f*#k that" were not unusual. When I see eighty bucks now, it's more of a hmm....maybe I should get a cool and a neutral. so yeah, it gets bad and fast. I try to practice self-control:laughing:....sometimes!
I've just accepted the fact that I'm in a luminous vortex with no way out and I'm not looking for a light at the end of it, it's lit all the way down!

I've been through the same thing. In about a month playing here on the devils website, I've experienced 16 eneloops, 6 expensive 18650's (chargers on both sides), and ordered probably $500 in flashlights. My boss has asked me if he is paying me too much and my Fiancee' completely despises my laptop now. Thanks guys :twothumbs

I'm glad to see someone else having the struggle so I know I'm not just an addict to addiction. To my favor, I do work outdoors at night...Each and every one of them is a tool in my book. Even the Dereelight which I will probably NEVER be able to use to actually see something.

All along I wanted a TK70 but didn't want to spend the money...

Maybe if I just buy it I can stop all this non-sense.

I just had a realization.

When I get engaged, I'm going to have to explain that I have no 401k, no savings, and enough liquid assets to buy me a $1 burger. I might have a cover story about how I donated it all to monks that take care of wild animals.

In reality, it would because I had bought enough lights for the rest of my life.

Believe it or not, the lights are more of a liquid asset than any other "money wasting" addiction I've ever had. They sell quickly at the marketplace as long as you're reasonable. Car mods were a pain to sell for anything more than 50% of the paid price and alcohol...It's just money down the toilet. I'm left with a lot of nights I don't remember and a dirty car that gets 12 MPG and unwanted police attention. I do keep the rear bumper, trunklid, and tail lights nice and clean though :p

The lights are actually a pretty decent hobby all in all..

Beware! Buying your grail light will only make you find 2 to 3 other grail lights like it that you must have!

Just wait for your first blackout. Then all will be forgiven.
I gave my SO a Jetbeam TC-R2 and a box of Surefire batteries for Christmas last year. She liked it to start with, but when the storms hit at the end of June and millions of people (including her) lost power, she was extra-appreciative. "Best Christmas present EVER!" she said.

Right now my grail light is the Ti bug. I really want a McLux Ti-PD; but I'm not sure if I want a standard PD, or a LunaSol. But then I think "Self, that control ring thing is killer. Maybe I should look at a Sunwayman V10R Ti+ or a Ra Rotary... but that last one's not titanium, and I need something in titanium for the sake of the collection."

Madness, I say.

Oh well, it's a fun and peculiarly useful kind of madness.

The control-ring thing is killer. I have about 20 Gizmos and my EDC light is a Jetbeam TC-R2. It's just so convenient.
