Take a look at the v2 QR. I think they are on the website now. This version has a pull-push connection that requires about 10 pounds of force and is much shorter.

Thanks! Is it just me or are there no size specs on the site? Am I blind?

I'm another one for a AA light. Ideally takes 14500 as well as eneloops.
While I generally favour twisties a clicky is fine as well. Twisties have an advantage of silent operation.
If you did go twistie a suggestion is for light off when fully locked down and untwist to come on.
A moonlight is essential for me as is last mode memory and a good neutral emitter, prefering more flood than throw for AA.
The 18650 can be the thrower.
I don't need or use high lumens often and would prefer under driving emitters for reliability.

We all end up owning several lights for different purposes so IMO don't try to make a AA over perform, reliability a must.
Build it strong and tough.
If I am out in the City at night I tend to take a AA to use with a AAA as a backup, the AA for me are a good size performance ratio.

I'd sell of my other lights to fund a Darksucks AA if need be.

A completely new sales format. One that does not rely on such a ridiculous "the first guy to get the E-mail can buy FOUR lights and then sell them at a profit" method of determining "who's next". It should be first come, first served. When one's name comes up on the list, one is sent an E-mail and has 48 hours to respond or their name goes to the bottom of the list. I can dream, right? I think instead, it's going to become some kind of a "lottery" type layout. I have basically given up on trying to get my Alpha Custom unless the sales format gets more "realistic".

You are not alone. By the time I see the emails, they are all gone.

I'm the opposite,- I see the email with the lights available, but by the time I have made my mind up, the lights have damn gone!!. Lol.

The system doesn't display live availability. It never says sold out until you actually try to buy the light. Or unless it has been several hours.

Re: Prometheans Sign Up Thread

There has been questions asked about future ideas, one was if a DarkSucks AA is possible?
If no AA light at all, then fair enough, but I would like to hear if its a no or a go.

I still find my Beta QRs the best AAA I have ever used.
Even to the point where I may flog my other AAAs just to get more Betas.

I hear You. I have had the exact same thing happen to me.
Most lights that are available sell out very VERY quickly, within a matter of an hour or so.
The basic rule of thumb is if you can add the light to your shopping cart, and You are allowed to pay for it, it's yours :D

Jason. Now that you have your new Icarus driver, would you be willing/able to add a mode that allows you to cycle through each level and select the one you want to use at that moment (so to speak). When you give it a press it would cycle up through the levels. When you release and press again it would reverse and cycle down. That way you could go by it and then return to the level you want. Would be great in the garage or around the house.
Realy love my Alpha Ready.
Will try for a custom.

I would like to see Icarus's level changing slowed by a bit.
Say 20%, so it advances at ~80% the speed v.1 does.

How about a compact 18350 twisty?
Most others only accept 16mm or 17mm diameter cells.

As some one who owns a beta for office carry and a alpha for nightstand duty I would really like to see a mid sized for weekend carry. More than the beta but more carry friendly than the alpha.
