Re: Prime C2 is dead

You may have one of the C2's that was "recalled". They had some that have issues. The newer versions are supposedly better. They will make it right. I have two C2s. Supposedly newer versions and so far not a issue at all.

This was a very early issued light, very well may be a recall I missed. Been enjoying the lights, the C2 claimed a spot in my pocket and has served me well. Thanks for the info!

Emailed AT. Received reply this morning.

Sandra asked for a video. Told me to program light for battery type. Which it won't. Sounds like getting this fixed might be a Hassle.

I was able to fix the wobbly pocket clip on my Prime C1 Pro by installing the lanyard ring between the clip and tail cap. A little bit of filing on the clip was required to fine tune the fit, and allow full closure of the tail cap. With the tail cap screwed fully on, the clip is now locked in place.

But the clip still needs a ramp, to prevent hangup when entering a pocket. The Nitecore EA11 and EC11 have entry ramps on their pocket clips. See photos here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb...L2(U2)-IMR-max-900-lumens-(beam)shots-compare

Got my shipping refund from Armytek today. I am very happy with there customer service on this issue.

Speaking of Issues my replacement has one.......

On 14500 cells, the state indicator is on all the time. A circuit break will shut it off in off state, but it returns as soon as
light is turned on/off.

Armytek, please tell me this is a feature you have added ???

Everything else about this light is better than my first one..

If it's a "new feature," I wonder if others' lights do the same. If they don't, then there are a good number of malfunctioning samples out there.

Hope you didn't exchange one defect for another, albeit a more minor one this time. Unless it drains your cell more. I feel like someone might suggest that you lock it out when not in use if that "new feature" is not desirable.

Does setting the battery type to li-ion solve the problem?

Nope, I have set it to AA and 14500. It doesn't matter. Only thing that makes it go away is a NiMH or Alky.

Correction , 5 blinks in moon mode, or any switch or change of moon modes.
Stays on in off state. until you loosen and tighten tail cap.

Might make a video.

No, it is not the feature. Make a video and send it to service please. Our specialist should ask you several questions to clarify if it is really a warranty case.

I think the Prime C1 Pro may need a stronger spring in the tail cap. With the magnet installed on the tail, and an 18350 battery installed, and the output at medium, high, or turbo, the flashlight will shut off when I attach it to a metal surface. It will do the same thing if I strike the flashlight against the palm of my hand, tail first. I can't get it to shut off if I strike the bezel against my palm, or against a table top.

Just shipped my Prime C1 Pro to China for warranty replacement. Keeping my fingers crossed that the replacement is free of glitches.
