    best single aaa flashlight

I had a AAA Solitaire on my key chain back in the day, it was bright enough to light the keyhole and that was about it. I always assumed that's what they were made for. Replaced it with a coin cell light with a green LED that was much brighter. So that was only 2 lumens? Pretty crazy my current...

What are the top brands of Chinese flashlights in 2019?

For budget lights, Convoy for sure. You can order direct from them on Aliexpress. They have a lot of options including multiple high CRI LED options and programmable drivers now. I have several and have never had one fail. I have a modded Convoy from Pflexpro that's lived in my pocket for the...

    best single aaa flashlight

I was going to recommend an Olight I3E copper if you only need one mode, because the fit and finish and feel of the copper is so nice. But I haven't seen those, that's a good deal I'd get three of them instead :)

AAA flashlight: better replacement for ITP A3 EOS?

I also still have a ITP on my keychain, been there for years but is a backup now as I carry something bigger for EDC. I second the i3t copper, I got an I3S copper for my dad last year (no longer available) and the weight just feels good in the hand, plus the copper looks nice. If you need more...

    Manufacturers still don't get it

I'd love to have a ramping UI on my lights if it they had displays for the power level. I like to know how long my lights will run on each level. But I agree, its really annoying having to learn a new UI for each light, even if you only own a few.

Zebralight SC64c (XP-L2) measurements or "why 2-step means squat"

I wish they had a tint snob version, with either a hand picked Cree, or a Nichia. I would pay extra for that.

Zebralight SC64c (XP-L2) measurements or "why 2-step means squat"

If you are selling things with tight specifications you need to test them, they either knew they were way off or they have zero quality control. Considering someone got one with the wrong model engraved on it, I'd bet on the later.

Zebralight SC64c (XP-L2) measurements or "why 2-step means squat"

I posted in another thread about returning my SC64c due to green tint. I figured the specs were off from what was listed. I measured the color temperature of mine to be closer to 4500k and thought my H600fc mk III had better color rendering. IMO the cri rating means nothing if the tint is bad...

    Sanyo 4.2v 18650GA

Those are high capacity, medium drain, rated to 10 amps continuous, if its higher than that you should find something else. What flashlights are you planning on using them in?

Looking for a pretty specific light

Got it working with the stock driver, guess I'll just have to get used to it, I'm done messing with this one.

Looking for a pretty specific light

Well got the mod done, it worked for about 30 seconds, then something burned out on the driver. Hopefully the LED is fine.

Looking for a pretty specific light

I'm doing mine today. I got the neutral white version and the stock LED on mine is very very green, measures ~4800K. On the driver I'm putting in there's a heavy gauge copper wire thermal epoxied onto the processor on the board to act as a heat pipe for thermal control, hopefully won't have any...

Olight vs Zebralight - Help needed to make my choice

Re: Olight vs Zebra light - Help need to make my choice I'd wouldn't worry too much about the difference in efficiency, make your decision based on the runtime on the modes you'll be using the most. The Olight runs at 650 lumens for 2.5 hours, and 150 lumens for 10 hours. The Zebralight should...

small headlamp with headband for long term storage in medical kit

Nice, I didn't know there were any single AAA headlamps like that for that price. A right angle AAA light with pocket clip you can clip onto a shirt would be an even more compact option, like the Manker E02.

the all new "should we break in new Li-ion cells?" thread

Capacity might increase very slightly after break-in but it shouldn't affect anything else. Just get quality cells from the big four manufacturers and don't worry about it. Charge at the slowest setting you can if you're not in a hurry. My flashlight cells don't see a lot of use and abuse, but I...
