    Question about paracord.

I have also dealt with ParaGear and would recommend them.. They also have a great selection of the stronger lines as well. I have also found lots of the mil-spec 550 cord on eBay. Michael

    Question about paracord.

As the name implies, it was originally used in military parachutes. What you use it for is only limited by your imagination. Michael

    Safety Reminder

Unfortunately people tend to go where they look. It helps explain a lot of rear enders. Instead of looking beside the stopped car people tend to stare at the rear bumper. Usually this is followed by the sound of crunching metal. I almost did this myself until my brain dragged out the proper...

Older women / Younger Men trend

No offence, however, maybe he isn't the one emotionally stunted. There is only 13 years difference in age. While it could put her into his mother territory you just may be from the back woods if it is a common thing in your area for 13 year olds to be having kids. People often want different...

    Night Walk Observations

While I find it prudent to have a light with me, I use it only long enough to alert drivers to my presence on rural roads. If I wanted to have the area lite-up like a football stadium I would walk during the day. During a map and compass night march during Basic Training I had some idiot shine...

New SF U2: Donut beam and broken clickie

I had the same thing happen to the switch the first night with mine. I e-mailed SF and they sent a new Clickie in the mail no questions asked. I found if you lightly tap the clickie on the side it would work. I have had no problems with the replacement one, thank goodness. Michael

    Surefire U2 Holster/Case

I purchased a SF V31 holster. It was a couple of inches too long, however I had it trimmed down using an electric hot knife. Fits just as if it was made for it. You can probably get it cut down at any skydiving riggers or place that works with webbing. Hope it helps. Michael

Warning about new eBay scam - seller with 100% positive

I too have found sellers whose feedback’s were generated on small $1 to $2 items, only to be trying to sell items worth tens of thousands of dollars. At least they were not as obvious as this person. I can never think of a time when everyone of the buyers leaving feedback had the same number of...

If you could start over again, what lights would you *not* have purchased?

After much thought I will have to add my SF A2 BK. It is supposed to have white LED'S, unfortunately they are almost purple. If not for this I would really like it. Guess I will just have to change out the LED's. Michael

    So, what is your profession?

Re: ~~YOUR BACKGROUND~~ I have been in the Military, Airforce, for over 22 years. The first six as an Air Traffic Controller, the rest as an Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator. This job entails operating search sensors in aircraft, primarily the P3 airframe. As well, in my spare time I am a...

If you could start over again, what lights would you *not* have purchased?

I would have to say my Peli M6. Too many other lights fill the same role, only much better. It sits in my glove box as a backup though. Michael
