A couple of points posted above are not accurate.
The specific wavelength is 222 nm. Neither higher or lower. It MUST be a very narrow beam. There are significant filtering layers inside the lamps that filter out all the extraneous slop around the target wavelength.
A great deal of testing has...
I am trying to; as an interested civilian. But I am real interested.
My 207 nm wavelength appears to have been superseded by 222 nm. I have found nothing in LEDs that hit that wavelength. Some esoteric (read hard and expensive) approaches exist. Taking a blue laser and hitting a crystal that...
I need to have radiation at 207 nm. I would like to use one or more LEDs. I have done a good bit of searching with little success. None of the words or numbers I have tried come up with anything but irrelevant junk. Does anyone know where such an LED might be found?

Thanks. Turns out I had put a pair of the Osram bulbs in when we got the car. About 5 years ago. But I did not remember. I figured it out when I opened an Osram bulb box and found a nice new looking Phillips bulb. So I pulled a bulb in the car to see what shape it was in. Wow. One bulb close to...
How does the 9003 X-tremeVision compare with the Osram Bilux H4? I have found a pair of these in my garage from some project I never did. Not relevant, but in the same box I found a whole bunch of the HIR bulbs; but they are all single filaments. The Osram are probably something I bought by...
I can't make search work for some reason. So I will ask an updated question without knowing waht has been said. Sorry about that. I want to replace the H4 bulbs in a 2013 Honda CR-V. They have rotten headlights. What is the state of the art in H4 bulbs; ignoring an HID projector refit. If it...
I have yet to find good reviews across several brands. There is at least one thread here that extols the virtue of Tenergy. In my experience; not at all acceptable.
I bought 8 Tenergy 4 AH cells. Run time on my radio seemed short. The cells were used as 2 sets of four. They have had pretty much...
Since this thread has risen from the grave;
I bought 8 Tenergy Low Self discharge C NiMh 4AH cells for my work radio. Run time felt so so. The cells are fairly new. They have been charged 2 to 4 times each (I was not counting). They have all been used in the same sets of 4 in the radio so...

Not so good charge retention for a ver 5.
An overall point that seems to be rather under appreciated: Elon probably does not care even a little bit about how the batteries work in flashlights or anything else. The following has been mentioned in this thread, but here is some of it in one place. For those who want to read one post...
I am still looking for tests. Here is one site that did AAs. I have no idea if the chemistries in the 9V and the regular A series batteries is the same. If anyone knows please post that information.

Here is an interesting test between Pro and regular.
