Two torches for my friend at work

We went for a short meet across the road in Hyde Park where i showed him a few lights. In the end he went for an Eagletac M3C4 XM-L. The second light chosen was the ArmyTek Predator. I pointed out that these two lights were missing a smaller brother so he bought a smaller Surefire E1B Backup. He...

Thank you David. Are the X10's that you are selling U2 bin, or a mixture of U2 or T6?

Two torches for my friend at work

My friend made the same mistake as myself quite a few years back by visiting the outdoor/camping/adventure shops in High Street Kensington. There are four shops very close to each other and when you ask for advice on a really powerful torch the assistants smile and say "i have the very thing...

Two torches for my friend at work

No the lights are not for work, he likes to go camping. I had not considered the TK41 which would work well with the new Sanyo Ni-MH AA 2500mAH powered by eneloop technology.

Two torches for my friend at work

Thank you for suggesting the Tesla TL 1200, i'm not familiar with this light but will check it out. The Olight SR90 is a little too big and heavy.

Two torches for my friend at work

The lights are not for work, but i think a thrower would be a good idea as it will easily out perform his 2D Maglites. He also does not plan on buying more lights therefore he would need something that would last. I think a high output thrower would still look good in a few years time. I think...

Two torches for my friend at work

My friend at work currently owns 2 x 2D Maglites which he wishes to update to LED lights. He wants two different torches - one high powered (over 700 lumens) and one smaller light (over 250 lumens). Budget for both lights £600. He is open to different battery types, i can help out with where to...

How do you hide your lights from your wives????

I have a locked room and my girlfriend is not allowed to go in there  I dedicate this room to my lights and anything torch related. I keep 50 of my favourites around the apartment so she doesn't know how many i have in total. I also keep a load at work

    Need a powerful thrower

Fenix TK11 R2 version. XP-G R5's will only throw well with a large bezel due to the larger die.

How to max throw on a 6p?

The most throw i have been able to come up with in the Surefire 6P size is modding a Dereelight P60 R2 module with the newer XR-E EZ900 R2, this is a smaller die than the XR-E R2 emitters that we are used to using with the EZ1000 die. It takes forever to install and focus the aspheric properly...

Fenix TK11 R2 vs. Olight M20 Warrior Prem.

:welcome: The Olight M20 premium R2 with SMO reflector will throw a little bit further than the Fenix TK11 R2. If you're after throw make sure you buy the R2 version. If i could only pick one, then i would go for the Fenix TK11 R2.
