Microa, I am only talking about the charging circuit. Indeed, the output circuit is on 2S2P... or 2SnP for a 7.2V nominal output.
The board has a "center tap" that connects to the common of all 4 cells in the MS pack. This is needed for the charge circuit. I am only trying to understand the...
Two possibilities. One I worked on last night was to add a small extension to the small spring on the driver. Easier said than done since you really don't want a failure there. The host I use is a 504B, similar to your L2P. The battery simply wasn't being held in there very tight and every...
The output is 2S2P... but it does have a tap for the charger which would allow for a 4P charging circuit or 2x 2P charging. It is kind of important to know how this board handles charging. It cannot charge 2S. That would be irresponsible and dangerous.
Thank you FMA Battery. This is a very nice product for DIY pack builders.
Am I correct in assuming that the charge circuit is a 4P configuration?
And please, what is the maximum charge rate?
My math wasn't off too far.
On a 3100mah Callies Kustoms 18650, I got 05:40 to 3V.
At 5 hours it was 3.3V still drawing 700ma on high;
At 05:30 it was 3.17V drawing 700mah.
At 05:40 the driver's protection circuit kicked in and the removed cell was 3V exactly with only a few seconds rest...
The driver is a 17-mode NANJG 101-AK 1050ma driver.
With the disabled 7135, it now has a max output of 700ma in high mode.
We know these drivers have a Low mode at 5% and Medium mode at 30%.
So these are the modes after the mod.
Low - 368ma | 160 lumens
Med - 455ma | 182 lumens
High -...
Since my recent tests with runtime and output at 1 amps I decided to take this mod to the next level.
I received some more drivers and few 16mm XM-L T6 emitters. I decided that my be-seen zoomies on my recumbent trike needed a consistent output and the constant mode that this mod provides...
Re: Your most suprising lights?
I've had some level of surprise in most of the lights I have received lately. Foremost is probably the 504B silver host. Probably the prettiest light in my collection so I bought a KAN-28 switch for it and a coated lens. And it now sports the GITD tailcap...
All the tests are complete with significant results. See the 1st post for all 3 vids.
If you want runtime and don't really care about consistent light output using only 1x 18650 (or 16340, etc.), an XR-E will self regulate based on Vf until the battery is dead. with a 1 amp starting current...
Re: XR-E Q5 Runtime Test
I just added the XP-G video to the original post. 01:48 of well regulated output from the XP-G of around 350 lumens (spec lumens) and 2:00 and a bit before the battery was down to 3V. Same cell as in the 1st test also charged on the XTAR Wp2 II.
Just completed the...
Re: XR-E Q5 Runtime Test
You can bypass one of the AMC7135's gate straight to pin 1 of the MP (diode protected positive). This will provide a non-PWM 350ma constant while the remaining AMC7135 will be driven by the selected mode of the Tiny13A. Works perfectly and no reprogramming required...
Re: XR-E Q5 Runtime Test
I see. Beacons won't work due to the limited time I have to gain someone's attention meaning soccer moms ready to blast through stop signs. 18650 is a good format and a Q5 at 700ma would be the least I would want for output. A narrow beam too would be severely...
