Agreed. Putting an old beat up bone stock Surefire 6P into rotation and going for single mode 500~1000 lumen drop-in. With a single 16650 / 8Amp draw rated I should be able to get a solid 20~30min runtime without dipping too much.
Seems like that is the best practice. Have a potentially bad product; pay the reviews and hope they do not have a bias review ;)
Thanks for keeping it real!
With Youtube reviews by people who do not understand the tech they just re-iterate the hype/snake oil this furthers the marketing scheme and to a greater audience.
That is the beauty of Malkoff products. Gene was always honest and continues to be and hopefully he is still doing good despite...
Hi all,
We have new emitters and updated cells and overall happy about that. But the false advertising that is now commonplace is a bit too much. I Purchased a Nitecore P10ix 4000 lumens recently and the Turbo 4K lumens last 10 seconds sometimes less. The actual running lumens seem to be the...
Hi,
I wanted to purchase the Olight M20SXvn with Oslon Flat Black 6500 prefer single mode but see its only offered with DriverVN4.
Anyhow is that the most throw in that size bezel. What is drive current to at the tailcap for something like this? 3A? Trying to see if I get an hour or 45min...
You have to run 2 IMR 26650 cells no matter which way you go.
You can get those LED drop-in via his website too.

If you truly want to stay incandescent you can solder in the Fivemega G6.35 bi-pin kit or get the drop-in G4 kit from Tadcustoms, but you...
Thank you TAD for the info on the screw-on socket. I have concluded that your kit works great with the 10watt and the 20watt bulb you provided.
I used the 30watt bulb and it melted the internal plastic shield and the positive contact wouldn't work anymore hence the light would not light up...
Re: Tad Customs Bi-Pin drop-in kit for C size Maglites review
I ran the (Ushio 30watt bulb 6V- 5.10A) for about 10 minutes continuous yesterday and the stock C size switch got stuck in the on position. I quickly removed the tailcap and after it cooled the switch is working again as usual...
Re: New Mag C-cell incandescent twisties: M25IT

Re: Tad Customs Bi-Pin drop-in kit for C size Maglites review
Here are some random pictures of the build in question, which I have not done any resistance mods to it.
Here you can see the bulbs get stuck in the stock Maglite screw ring....but not the TAD bulb. That one fits perfect.
Re: Tad Customs Bi-Pin drop-in kit for C size Maglites review
Thank you for the information regarding bulbs...Maybe that explains why the Osram Mag623 builds can be overdriven so much and don't go poof with 4 IMR cells.

Great pictures.
I myself have to both TadCustoms bi-pin kit for C mags and the packaging is incredible. The build quality seems equally impressive, but I am waiting for my 2C Hosts to come in the mail to do my full review and opinion.
This thread is making me want to pick up an A2 Incan...
