    Twas the Night Before Christmas

I originally wrote this in 2009, Thought I'd dust it off and share it! Twas the night before Christmas and Rudolph was out, His incandescent filaments failed his snout, Santa was fuming, ready to quit for the night, Size 15's the Elf, had some insight, Why use incandescent when LED would do, So...

    MICROFIRE FLASHLIGHTS

I have a Microfire Terminator II HID it's a great little light and was amazing when it came out. With LED's becoming more and more powerful HID's have been surpassed. Microfire was a Chinese company and haven't heard or seen anything from them in 10 years or so. They have a website up with some...

    4Sevens announces closure

Very sad, 47's have been some of my favorite lights for years, my main EDC is a Quark 123 Turbo, with a Stainless Fenix LD01 as backup. I have 40 or so 47's lights and met with David Chow about 10 years ago when the brand was very new. He was very interested in hearing what customers had to say...

    New Surefire prototype pics added

My Surefire insider was laid off from Surefire a couple of years later, he was a close friend of Dr. Mathews and passed away a couple of months ago. I got to meet many wonderful people at Surefire, including Dr. Mathews. Thanks to George "Skip" Langan. I have many many Surefire lights from his...

Medium sized every day carry light

I carry a 4Sevens Quark Turbo. Should fit what you're looking for. Not sure if it will take an 18650 but I run mine with Surefire rechargables. There is no need to quote the OP in its entirety - Norm

What's the best EDC flashlight in 2012 and why?

For the past 2 years I have EDC'ed a 4Sevens Quark Turbo, backed up by a stainless Fenix LD01. Neither light has ever let me down. The program-ability of the Quark gives me what I need when I need it.

    Surefire LED M6

Prototype has been out a while I've had one for over a year http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?255035-New-Surefire-prototype-pics-added/page7 Don't bother reading the other 7 pages was a big argument on lumens. One of these days I have to get out and take some beam shots.

How many lights do you EDC? Part 2

Re: How many lights do you EDC? Currently 3-5 depending on if I have a jacket on or not. 1. 4Sevens Quark 123 Turbo 2. Surefire E1B Backup 3. Fenix LD01 in SS 4. Photon Rex 5. depends on where I am right now 4Sevens Quark AA Tactical
  13. B

Lowest price Surefire that uses 18650 or AA batteries.

The very early U2's would take an 18650. And the newer ones can be bored out if you are very very careful. I would just go with an aftermarket tube and pull the parts off a 6 series.

NiteIze ZipLit: Super tiny, super cool form-factor

I love the Photon Rex and have it on my jacket zipper, I think a Glotube would do what you want it may be a little big but if they made a CR2 or button battery version it would be useful as a pendant and a tiny lamp.
