    Favorite single 18650 light of 2016

    Nitecore MH20GT. Great light. Easy on - off (no taillight clicky crap so you can grab it in the dark and turn it on with one hand), powerful, and USB chargeable in case you are out in the woods and forgot to charge it in advance.

    BLF A6 Half Press?

    Yup, what he said goes for me too. It takes me a moment to remember the tap with the Budget Light Forum A6 light cause I usually have a Convoy S2 and I forget every time when I go back. Probably should stick to the BLF A6. They are remarkable flashlights.

    Favorite Buget light.

    Nitecore Tubes that I got for @$7 ea in a 3 pack off Massdrop. Fit on a keychain, 45 lumens is plenty to light up the dark, insanely small. I've since seen them for less, but still a great value.

    Paranoid About Using Flashlights Outdoors (in neighborhoods, cities, etc)?

    Taking a Thorfire S70 or a Convoy L6 out to a crowded campground can be problematical if you have kids with you. They just want to blast the light right out there on high all the time. It's embarrassing and yeah, you get paranoid.

    Agreed! I think budget can include a great deal. For example, the BLF Q8 is going to be produced and they're are saying it should be @$40. $40 for a flashlight would seem like a lot of scratch to most normal folks for a flashlight, but an enthusiast would recognize that is radically underpriced...
