    Flashlight Use in Urban Areas

Living in a suburban area, I'm always challenged to find a place to use my flashlights in the evenings. My favorite is along the old Pacific Electric right-of-way close by my house that has been converted into a county park. After the rails were taken out, it was landscaped with trees and...

    Customer service.

One of the most valuable services that CPF provides is tales of service/response history of manufacturers. I always check opinions and comments of members before ordering a new light. Although I only have a small collection (McGizmo, Malkoff, Surefire), I will gladly pay more for the quick...

New Malkoff MDC in the works.

Received my new Malkoff MDC HA CR123 yesterday. Surprised at how short it is (I'm used to the slightly longer Surefire Backup); but throw is very strong. Case color is uniform across the unit.

Hiking at night: What do you EDC ?

My new Malkoff MDC delivered this afternoon. Delayed my afternoon hike until after dark so I could try it out. Great size (3.75") for hand and pocket, plus excellent throw (approx. 200 lumens). Temperature was so nice at this later time that I'll probably delay my hikes more often! Bill
