    Try some hot glue... Like you find at craft stores. Get a high temp glue gun and glue. Clean the helmet and mount well. And if you are gluing on aluminum, put it under hot water to get it warm (the glue will stick to it better). This is how I did my wife and mine. And short of an impact...

    Great idea for decoration... But for lighting a room? Look at the picture of the people sitting at tables in front of the array... Almost no light at all. They would have been better off with bare (no reflector or lens) leds suspended from some overhead framework. Not as pretty-much more light.
