    New Hyperion

Hyperion, I just received this light yesterday and had a chance to play with it last night. I'm very impressed. It's an impressive little light. Very bright with a perfect beam. The OP reflector provides a smooth beam, not a single artifact, large hot spot with good spill! High quality HA III...

You're welcome! Not to ..... :dedhorse:....., but I'm still amazed at the total performance quality of this drop-in.

Need a good way to store extra Lamp Assemblies

Guys, Thanks for all the ideas! LF LA holders are what I would like best, I just didn't know they sold them separately. I'll pick up one of the pelican cases too. Actually, I need to get something to hold all my light accessory stuff. Kinda like a tackle box for light accessories, and maybe...

Need a good way to store extra Lamp Assemblies

As the title implies, I have extra lamp assemblies and I need a good way to store them. Spares carries only hold one, and they're too expensive to buy multiples for this one purpose. A small case/carrier of some sort that hold 8-10 lamp assemblies would be very helpful. Anyone know where to...

New AW 17670 & New LF EO-4 trouble

DM51, Thank you, I figured it should be brighter. I have a bad Lamp Assembly evidently because I have tried it with three different AW 17670's that work perfectly in other lights and I get the same results. I'll contact John @ Lighthound, where I bought it, and see what he can do for me...

    Surefire C3 beam shape

Yep, they're oval'ish. Personally, I don't like it. It doesn't stop me from using SF LA's but I do prefer a round beam. If I want to see in oval patterns, I just move the light back and forth. I mean, with oval shape, you have to turn it one way or the other anyway to see one way or the other...

Best Quality and Brightest CREE drop-in???

Well, I got my Malkoff P60 Mod and boy am I surprised, damn this thing is nice! It has a large hotspot, throws like crazy, yet provides a lot of spill. It's a deep reflector and is made extremely well. Even hand engraved by Gene. I am very happy with the output of this product! I didn't...

New AW 17670 & New LF EO-4 trouble

Is it possible I have a bad EO-4? I think I probably do. I took a 9W P90 and put it in with 2xRCR123 and it is way brighter and whiter than the 9W EO-4 with 1x17670. Thoughts?

Streamlight Scorpion with Strion bulb from Lighthound

Got one too. It's a FiveMega made light. Great little light! I wouldn't call it yellow. But I guess it depends on what we each think qualifies as white. Try focusing the beam down to a tight spot, there's still good spill and you loose artifacts. One of my favorite small...

New AW 17670 & New LF EO-4 trouble

Update: I tried the EO-4 in two other lights, a 6P and another G2. Same results. I tried a different AW 17670, this one did slide in the tube easier than the other one, but no difference in results. I guess I should have gone the SR-9 & 2xRCR123 route. :sigh:

    EO-4 & 1x17670 or SR-9 & 2xRCR123

Yes I do, thank you for the correction.

New AW 17670 & New LF EO-4 trouble

Let me try to explain better what I have done. I have a brand spanking new G2, just unwrapped yesterday. It has the P60 and the 2 CR123's that came with it, in it. It works just fine and shines bright. I got my new EO-4 in the mail yesterday along with a new AW 17670. I charged the 17670...
