    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

After some more testing. Light on high for 60 seconds. Switch to eco, and the LED takes 15 seconds to ramp up to 20 lumens. The longer the light is on high, the longer it takes the LED to ramp up to 20 lumens when switching to eco mode.

    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

Yes. I have 2 other Maglites that don't ramp up, but go instantly to 20 lumens. Depending on how long the light has been on high, it can take 5+ seconds for the led to ramp up from 0 to 20 lumens.

My next buy I want a monster thrower and flood any recommendations?

The brightest light I own is a TN36 UE. 11k lumens, bright as heck, but mostly all flood. Reaches about 200 yds thru sheer lumens. Gets hot quickly and steps down quickly too. Honestly, my Streamlight HL5-X is a much more useful light.

    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

Finally got the light back from Mag. Their paperwork said they couldn't duplicate the issue. Threw 4 alkaline Duracells in it, turned it on high for 20 seconds and then switched to Eco mode.....boom. LED slowly ramps up to Eco level. No change. The paperwork says they cleaned and tested the...

    Fenix TK35UE v2 battery usage

Seems my TK35UE v2 runs one battery at a time instead of pulling off both 18650s at the same time. I will run it until the charge indicator says it is time to recharge the batteries, but when I put them in the charger, one battery is at 3.6V, the other is at 4.0V. And if I put the 4.0V battery...

    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

I bought it straight from MagLite as I wanted the latest and greatest output.

    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

I was calling it Turbo as it seems most manufacturers call their max output Turbo.

What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

Nitecore MH25S. I wanted a coat pocket tactical thrower that doesn't take dedicated, proprietary batteries like my Olight Warrior X Pro does.

    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

One thing I have noticed with the 4D vs the 3D, is that on Turbo, the 4D gets quite warm whereas the 3D doesn't. Maybe the extra 250 lumens is pushing it too hard.

    The tailcap is normal.

    Interesting Maglite ML300L issue

Just took delivery of two Maglite ML300L flashlights. 1 3D, 1 4D. Both are great lights for their purpose. I noticed an issue with the 4D light. If I run it on high for as little as 20 seconds, and then switch to Eco mode, the LED doesn't turn on at the set level, but ramps up to the Eco...

    Olight Micro-Dok III - doesn't work with M2R

Just bought an Olight M2R, and I bought a couple of their Micro-Dok III's to go with it. One for the desk at work, one for at home. I bought them from olight-direct on e*ay where they indicate it is compatible with the M2R. But they do NOT charge the M2R. Not at all. I did an internet search...

    Light for work...

One caution with the G2 and an LED drop in. The Nitrolon head of the G2 does NOT conduct heat away from the LED like the aluminum head on a 6P will. This isn't much of a issue with short run times, but for extended run times it may damage the LED.
