    IPod says "do not disconnect"

    Thanks to Turbo dog I think I figured out the problem. I had it enabled for disk use. Once I turned that off, it disconnected itself. I appreciate the tips, hopefully their will be no more hiccups.

    I have recently transferred a bunch of songs and pictures to a new iPod. It is linked with this computer. Here recently, even after it is completed its update and synchronization process, the iPod continues to say do not disconnect. It used to say update complete on the computer and the menu...

    Thanks for all of the good help. It seems that I will at least be able to get them all onto the ipod and if something goes south, I guess I can re rip them or at least take them to computer 1 and sync it again.

    Saaby, it is a 2001 Surburban with factory stereo, No DVD Just the basic cassette and CD with the optional tuner/switcher for the rear passengers via headphones. which gives better sound quality--- FM modulation or the cassette adapter?
