    L3 Illumination L10 failed...TWICE!

The place I got one (retailer / name of a major river) is out of stock until "September 12, 2014." Price is just under $30. The NW is a very nice tint similar to the L3, 219.

A Solar Light With A Funny Name But Means Business - WAKAWAKA Solar Lamp Review

True, but there is a significant practical advantage to having everything combined in one unit that keeps parts from becoming lost. This is particularly the case when considering the broad range of types of people and uses that it's designed for.

    SOLAR FLASHLIGHT?

I got a WakaWaka Solar Light (more of a lantern than a flashlight though) for Christmas and it's pretty good and well designed to be set up and angled in a variety of ways. So far I've only used it for indoor utility purposes, but it's been good so far. There's another CPF thread on it here

Inova X1 gen 5 possible neutral tint?

ZMZ67, I think you're right on with that comment. I had an X1 Gen 2 some years ago (gave it away after upgrading) and that's when I recall hearing about the lens problems. Looking at the latest model, and considering your observations, it looks like Inova has addressed several issues and has...

Inova X1 gen 5 possible neutral tint?

Just picked up one of the dual mode X1's at Target for under $14; figured it would be worth a try for the price. It's better in quality and more useful than I would have expected. High has plenty of throw and the low setting (more like medium on some other lights I have such as Maratac AA's...

    Is Target discontinuing Inova??

Not sure. However, at a Target in MD last Sat. I picked up a 2 level X1 that was listed on "clearance" for just under $14. I saw a reference in another forum posting about someone reading a brochure that said a new 3 level X1 would be issued soon. So, Target may just be clearing out the old...

What light to send to a US soldier in Iraq? ... **UPDATE in POST #119**

Re: What light to send to a US soldier in Iraq? If you can get something with a red LED in it - that would be very useful over there. That's what I did for a friend - went and split the cost w/another friend stateside for the fellow over there for an Inova 24/7 LED from this place (lots of...

Article about LED Lightbulb: Build a Better Bulb for a $10 Million Prize

How about this? ------- "Build a Better Bulb for a $10 Million Prize http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/25/technology/25bulb.html?_r=1&hp Philips has developed an LED light bulb that uses one-sixth the energy of a standard 60-watt incandescent bulb. The ubiquitous but highly inefficient...
