So far mine has no flicker at all. I set in on low as a night light and no flicker at all....... The only thing I have noticed it the locator flask dies down when the light gets warm or the battery gets low. It comes back up when the light cools off and gets down right bright when cold..
Be happy. Most people like the lower SN's on the Novatac's. I have a 120P that is #14277 and it works fine. Sometimes it will flicker on the low setting but not often. It gets used every day and runs like a clock...

That rubber sleeve is there to keep the battery from losing contact if you drop the light when it is on. It will be harder to screw on with the rubber baby buggy bumper in place........;)
