    Zebralight H60

Which is much quicker than from the USA. In my experience, shipping from China is quicker than from USA. EMS will be the same - 7-8 days. And now that's it's christmas, forget shipping from the USA.

    Zebralight update

Yes; you could find the posts about them if you search. Please understand that they have to be changed when there are problems with suppliers and so on.

    Incan versus LED...

LuxLuthor, I think the high frequency flickering of fluorescents is also a factor (particularly when combined with the high frequency flickering / refresh rate of computer monitors), with some people more sensitive to it than others. Here where I sit at work, there are two 3x36W fluorescents...

    Nitecore d 10 oring qustion

@ 4sevens/edgetac: Get this sorted out. Get the right size o-ring, and viton, not squishy silicon.

What is the best P7 light for throw?

ok, LEDninja has really said it well. It's about how well a torch illuminates - and I think StefanFS's beamshots showed that. If you want to limit it to "purethrow" (as in the laser analogy), ok, you can probably show that the P4 or whatever will put a brighter spot on an object further away...

    Philips "Halogena" energy saver

I wonder what the point is. They're not as "energy-saving" as the usual fluorescent type energy-saver ' long-life bulbs.

What is the best P7 light for throw?

The ones that StefanFS has made using Tiablos and MRVs.

    Cleaning inside of lens

I looked at a lenspen in a shop once, and I found that it had some black carbon stuff in it - I wiped it on my finger and it made a black smudge. I did a google but I didn't find any good explanation of why carbon black is used. And most of the lens cleaner products used some or other...

    Standardizing Beamshots on CPF

Outdoors: The common frame of reference is best done with a tripod and careful aiming, and a reasonably accurate estimation of the distance. Matching what was seen, the "realism" of the colors and so on...that's for the experts (of course.) The highest standards have already been set, and...

    Frosting hotwire bulbs with sandpaper?

I did some 5761 with a Dremel /Proxxon sanding drum. Masking tape around it because I only wanted to frost the lower part / below the filament. It didn't work well. The tool vibrated and it wasn't possible to get it evenly around the bulb (at the edge of the masking tape.) Then I borrowed some...

MRV SSC P7s. Lots of different SSC P7 beamshots!

The MRV reflector doesn't seem to lose anything compared to the MAG reflector, in practical use. Pity you didn't have one of the Tiablos here - I'm wondering how it looks compared to the MRV. This looks better than the Dereelight P7 (Wade's photos) - as far as I can see - different sets of...

    Zebralight update

Re: H60 18650 Zebralight in development. You're right. It's just that quite a few were already shipped out and it took a few weeks to work through all that. A simple 3 level switch is what i want. No electronic circuit modes and "memory", or "push-hold". ....In other words, a switching...

    Zebralight update

Re: H60 18650 Zebralight in development. It is not that the UI is complicated, it's that the switching caused problems. (If you don't know what I mean, a quick search will get you enough to read about it. That's why I - and probably a few hundred others - did not buy it.) The PD switch -...
