Flashlight for emergency travel go bag

1xAA Convoy T3, Lumintop Tool 2.0, Thrunite Saber, and many others 2xAA Wurkkos WK05, Convoy T4 (nice but is on the big heavy side) I'd avoid electronic switches and lights that aren't compatible with Alkalines in a pinch, (but don't use Alkalines!) These aren't as sophisticated as Emisar...

    ReyLight Pineapple Mini Orange Review

Have you tried the 2nd blink mode? I wonder if the 10% is different than the 3rd blink 10% and what the 40% mode is like. Right now it looks like the brightest regulated (sustained brightness) mode using NiMh is the 20% mode (about 45lm)

    Emisar D2 first impressions

The O-ring does butt up right against the threads, it is not in its own separate groove like most other lights. This is a recipe for failure. I always add some lube (Nyogel in this case) when I receive the light, so O ring and threads were lubed.

Yes, I'll have to go find the box. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

went to charge the battery, probably only the third time I've removed the battery and the O-ring broke as I was unscrewing the tail.

Recommend me a single AA flashlight

I'm interested in seeing if the Lumintop Tool trips the Xtar 1.5V circuit off when running Turbo or High. The Tool pulls a lot of current. I am also interested how the Xtar 1.5V performs at Med and lower modes, as I have some AA (1.5v max) only lights that I would like to get more runtime or a...

In search of: AAA flashlight with soft tap to change modes while on

Some suggestions from your other thread pointed to ReyLight as well: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/looking-for-alternative-to-foursevens-preon.482764/ The reylight does have a downside though, the high modes aren't as regulated as the Preon. The 100% level is just a one minute...

How much longer are the Orbtronic 14500 protected batteries? I know the Thrunite 920mAh is the same size as a regular AA, even with the USB port, so that is a nice feature. Lots of lights won't take oversize cells.

A brief history of the HDS universe

and of course "pummeled": There is a whole story on this one, but I can't remember if this is the one that was shot with a shotgun or the one Henry would throw across the concrete at Shot Show I don't know if this is Henry, but he looks so mild mannered and not someone with flashlight rage issues:

A brief history of the HDS universe

This thread need some pictures from back in the day (not mine, I downloaded them way back when and don't know the source) I think these xrays may have been from police scanner man, The schematics were from the HDS website for comparison: Probably an Executive since it has a clip Below was...

ThruNite Ti Pro is a twisty? Lumintop EDC has a floody TIR beam, and the Ti Pro has weird level spacing at least on LiIon, unsure about alkaline. Lumintop Tool is a great light just in general, and I think they come with USB-C 14500s as well now. Bad for newbie use because the dang lighted...
