Fenix HL10 Ultra-compact AAA headlamp- Review

My "ready-to-go" HL-10 weighs only 37g, including a primary lithium AAA and a slightly modified headband (No longer adjustable, cut and sewn to fit my head diameter). Is there any lighter headlamp on the market? My major complaint about this light is the very short runtime. Has anyone measured...

What flashlight do you keep in your vehicle?

Zebralight H53c. Too bad for us Europeans that ZL has stopped shipping outside the US.

    ZL H501R switch replacement

@AstroTurf: yes I know the H502pr, but #1 ZL does no longer sell outside the US, and #2 I don't have a real need for this kind of light. I hoped I could fix my H501R because it is so tiny and light (far more so than the H502), and I don't like to trash flashlights.

    ZL H501R switch replacement

I managed to remove the switch, then tested it with my multimeter: it seems to work fine (legs are indeed in parallel). Then I removed the upper board, by de-soldering the two wire ends. I then put a battery in, and used the two wires as a switch, which resulted in a first successful attempt...

    ZL H501R switch replacement

This was my first try. They answered they don't have the spare parts anymore for such an "old" model (purchased Nov. 2009).

    ZL H501R switch replacement

Many thanks DIWdiver alias "switch expert" :twothumbs for such a detailed reply. Yes my switch is most likely the momentary tactile type: the Zebralight UI is "short click = ON or OFF", "long click = LOW then MID-HIGH". OK, I'll remove the switch following your advice and let you know the result.

    ZL H501R switch replacement

Hi all, I have a H501R (red emitter) which worked fine so far. Suddenly it stopped working : did not light up at all. It has not fallen down, no shock, no water, nothing special. So I cleaned the contacts, and put it a fully charged NiMH : worked again sometimes, but with an erratic behaviour...

It does. Other owners have reported a similar issue on BLF.

    Comprehensive Grease and Lube Thread

I'm looking for a very thick conductive grease to fix the wobbly head of my Astrolux M01. NO-OX-ID seems to fill the bill from what I read in this thread. Do you know a way to have it shipped to France without being charged stratospheric shipping fees? litchfieldstation.com sells the 2oz. can...

Right-angle light with magnetic base to be left in a car

Thanks prof student for your suggestions, but here in France we have neither Walmart nor Harbor Freight. I might buy another E03H, but version II whose UI has been significantly improved: instant access to Eco (adjusted to your liking), Medium-High (automatic memory ), and Turbo. And simple...

Zebralight headlamps: how to remove the switch bezel?

I managed to do it eventually, details and pictures here.

Right-angle light with magnetic base to be left in a car

Sorry for this very late feedback. In short, I like the light, I don't like the UI: short press for moonlight, long press for the last mode used (how can I remember the last used mode when I use the light only occasionally?), long press for OFF. This is about the opposite to the ZL UI, which I...

Zebralight headlamps: how to remove the switch bezel?

Hi all, The switch boot on my H51F is torn, so I would like to replace it. It seems the switch bezel is press-fit, any suggestion on how to remove it without damaging the underneath switch and board is welcome. Thanks in advance

    Zebralight H501 Red issue

The switch was the culprit. I force-removed the switch boot (which almost destroyed it : the outer thinner edge was partly torn in the process), sprayed some contact cleaner, let it dry for a while, and now it works normally :twothumbs. So now the question is: how to replace the switch boot...

    The Official Zebralight Thread .

They may still be some hope: when I asked them less than two months ago about the availability of optional tailcaps with magnets, they answered: "The upcoming A6 will come with magnets. The H600 Mk V, to be released (maybe mid) next year, will have magnets as well as charging ports."
