Lighthound has 3x emitter options with AA Tatical series. All comes with three modes (hi-med-lo). XML T6 - $24.99, XPG R3 - $19.99, XPG R5 - $21.49. They are actually OEM'd by Balder. Go figure out.
I just pulled the trigger. How far does the switch 'travel' to activate the light? I can see the button emboss to the surface. Is it a traditional switch or electronic type? My concern is how easily will it be turned on in pocket. Thanks.
Just ordered one and couldn't wait to get it on hand. From the spec it gets everything I need, though unsure how easy the side switch will be activated in pocket. I owned Zebra SC50W and it turns on easily in a jean pocket. The reversible clip looks good so I can pull the light and turn on...
iTP SA1 XPE R2 @34.95, or XPG R5 @39.95. The XPE R2 has been my EDC for 1year and still going strong. Another option is Shiningbeam i-mini @36 after CPFUSER discount. Both models feature infinite brightness control. The i-mini is brand new on market and it runs on either 1AA, 14500 or CR123...
Thanks for the review with great pictures. I now EDC the Solo and night walk with Link. In terms of new design, Icon stays on top of the line:D. Now I'm waiting for the Irix.
Cheers,
That short? Are they fully charged? I use mixture of Eneloops and Duracell. My son told me the first set of battery lasted hours. Perhaps he used them in multi mode. I may want to do a real runtime test this weekend.
My opinion:
The XL100 is a great general-purpose flashlight. I actually like its extreme low mode for night walking. Not a lot of lights out there that provide real low mode while capable of ramping up to high mode with one hand operation. The tail clickie switch works silently. The motion...
I just received them from Lighthound today.
Sorry for the picture quality as I just took them from my cell phone. I believe you can get a more clear images from the vendor's website.

I received mine a couple weeks ago. Quite amazing beam pattern and brightness for the money.:) I wondered why the new RC-N3 II R4 doesn't get much attention.:poke: It's like the jet fighter F-16 upgrades to MLU(Mid-Life Update). Probably people prefer a light with new design over old model...
What would a flashholic think before wrapping up and during the trip?
a. Idea – I need to stay at a remote location for 6 months. Let’s get prepared for the darkness.
b. Grab a couple primaries and back up flashlights (thinking about what to bring as I have so many to choose from)...
Re: Question - MG L-Mini II 1x18650 Cree Q5 LED Flashlight 230 Lumens, Just ordered
Configurations. I've been using L-Mini II for 4 weeks ever since I got it from Mev after he completed the review session. In general I like it better than any other lights. Mostly because it uses 1x18650...
