    Olight m3x vs olight sr51

It is surprising to me to hear people talking about the M3X having heat issues on high mode. I have used mine for 2 hours continually on high a few times and didn't notice any problem with heat. I have other lights that get much hotter than my M3X.

    Favorite light bought in 2011.

I'm having a hard time not picking my Shiningbeam Blaze but I would have to say my favorite is my Fenix TK41. Does everything good.

    Monster Flashlight (Brand)

I do have a Monster Flashlight. I bought it about 5 months ago when I was looking for an upgrade in performance to my Olight M20s. I came across the MonsterFlashlight brand and read what they had to say there. I emailed Monster Flashlight and asked quite a few questions before I bought my...

Xeno E03 run over by trucks, buried under snow, 7 days of rain & still works!

I think I'm going to take mine out and bury it in the snow for a week and then run it over with my truck. Maybe it will start working right. Mine hasn't worked right since I got it.

Zebralight AA Choices – Now vs Later

The other day I threw my H51 and a UF-H3 in my coat pocket and took them over to my son's house to show him. I didn't take any extra batteries and the H51 had turned on and the battery was dead. That taught me a lesson. I will loosen the tail cap from now on.

    My first Jetbeam!

Are you sure that the TK35 has more throw than the BC40? I was under the impression that both were similar.

    Was I expecting too much?

My first 2xAA light was a 4Sevens Quark AA2 Tactical. I liked it enough to buy another 2xAA light. Since then I have bought 5 total lights that use the 2xAA format. Of the 5, the Quark is my least favorite. I like the Klarus P2A, Klarus ST20, Jetbeam BA20 and finally the best of the bunch...

Hindsight - your best/favorite LED aquisition in 2011?

Fenix TK41. It's extremely versatile. Does lots of things good and uses AA NiMh batteries.

BRIGHTEST AA OR D cell flashlight

The TK41 is a great light with very good throw and spill while still being a reasonable size and weight. Another AA light that has good reports although not as bright and doesn't throw as far is the Jetbeam PA40. It uses 4 AA batteries. I just picked up a 2xAA light that I like better than my...

    Object/Subject Review: ShiningBeam Caveman

My Caveman got here today. It is about what I expected with one exception. I thought the UI was the type that ramped up and down like the Shiningbeam I-mini. Instead it has three well spaced preset modes. I like this about the light. Quality and feel is excellent and on par with my...

If you could only have one flashlight...

Of all the lights I own right now, the one I would last part with is my Fenix TK41.

    Largest head XM-L - Thrower

My Olight M3X slightly out throws my TK41. It's not by much but it does throw better. It also has a crisper beam profile than my TK41. The TK41 has more spill and ceiling bounce to my eyes and it's more useful because of it's extra modes. The difference in the throw between my M3X and my...

    New Fenix XM-L flashlights - TK21, TK41 and TK70

This is very similar to what I have found from my TK41. With eneloops I get about 1.5 hours. The best burn time I have been able to get is about 1 hour and 50 minutes when using Powerex 2700 batteries. Not a big problem because I have lots of AA NiMh batteries. Not getting the burn time that...

What was the last flashlight that made you grin that evil, powerful light grin?

The three that make me smile the most are my TK41, Olight M3X and lastly my Shiningbeam Blaze. The Blaze simply because of the way it fits in my hand and the wall of light it throws out from a small package. I don't have a SC600 but I'm sure the output is similar.

Thrower - A worthy step up from the TK35?

If you want throw, the M3X will out throw your TK35 by a long shot but it's only 700 lumens. Selfbuilt talks about the Crelant 7G5 being the best 2 cell 18650 thrower he has tested but I don't think he has tested the Olight M3X yet. Some say the M3X throws better but I would bet that it's not...
