Kids Torch?

I gave my 2 year old my Zebralight SC52. He can cycle through the brightness levels and if he leaves it on, no big deal because it's only a AA Eneloop.

I need above 1k lms as a edc torch, just dont break my bank

If you have decent soldering skills you can put together a light. Convoy s6 as a host with an xpl hi triple and h17f driver. Its definitely a "wow light" in my book for $80! From left to right: Noctigon Meteor, Convoy s6, zebralight sc52, Astrolux s41, Fenix 18650 battery

    Astrolux s41 Problem

Finally received the Astrolux s41 after 5 weeks of waiting but I was rather disappointed on the quality of LEDs. This will be my first nichia led so I have no experience on want to expect for tint ,but I'm pretty sure they are not suppose to look blue/purple. I love everything about the little...

*new* Acebeam K70: max. 2600 lumens, 1300 meters throw

If you translate the page to english, it is a very thorough review of the K70. Now, scroll to the bottom and it looks like he has a amp probe reading 2.6A on turbo? So if its pulling only 2.6A I went with the protected Panasonic NCR18650 3400 MAH cells that mtnelectronics provide...

    Acebeam K70 throw comparison

I needed a battery case for my x4 18650. So I purchased a k70 to hold my batteries and it doubles as a flashlight too. Is that a good enough reason? :-)

*new* Acebeam K70: max. 2600 lumens, 1300 meters throw

Kj2, I agree that the holster is tight and I have to turn and twist the light to get it in. May be the same holster for k60? If that is the case maybe the wider k70 cooling fins is the reason it's little tight? Either way, I tried the holster on my belt and the light is ridiculously huge and...

Thanks for the kind words! Camera is a Sony NEX 6 and the lens was the stock 16-50mm pancake lens that came with the camera. I'm still very new to photography ,but so far I am very happy with the performance of the Sony and lens for what I shoot.

Ok it is hard to tell in pictures that light is hitting the water tower aprox. 800 yards away. It's actually very hard to see in person as well but I assure you light is hitting the tower. I had my wife shine the light at the tower while I drove to town and stood next to the water tower to...

Thanks guys! Turned out better then I thought through the fog! My range finder is limited to 600 yards. There is a water tower that is aprox. 800 and I'll try to get a picture on a clear night.

*new* Acebeam K70: max. 2600 lumens, 1300 meters throw

It's rated 1300 meters, but I honestly can't see much past 400 yards without using an optic. With an x8 binoculars I can maybe see until 600 yards ,but it gets difficult because the beam actually starts getting in the way if that makes any sense. Haha I never had to use binoculars until I got...

Another picture of the amazing beam. Farmers are out in the field so the dust in the air makes the beam much more noticeable. [/IMG]
