    This flashlight you bought, is not genuine Lumapower product. But it's not that bad made (I owned it) and it really throws. But I wouldn't run it on 2xCR123. The circuit is designed to run from 1x18650. You may fry it, when the voltage will be too high.

    I'd say, it's because IFE1 is regulated and EX11 goes direct drive on RCR. Sure, it's brighter, but the runtime and battery life will be greatly reduced.

If you put luxmeter over that sheet of paper 350m away, you'll get bigger lux reading from aspheric, than from HID (according to your experience).
