Cool Christmas Gift! Thanks Neighbor! (Flexible Flashlight)

Thanks ChibiM! It's found a home in my tech tool case for the moment, so Im not ripping it apart yet. When I got it, I figured someone here would have already torn it apart and done something with it...but I understand that most modders are into doing $500 lights rather than $5 lights. :)

Cool Christmas Gift! Thanks Neighbor! (Flexible Flashlight)

My neighbor gave me a pretty cool gift...a flexible flashlight that telescopes and has magnets at both ends. You can stick it to a metal surface to support it, and/or pick stuff up with the head (or the tail)! It has 3 LEDs. Here's a link...

Color Temp Adjustable Strip Lights for Vanity / Makeup Mirror

Good info and thoughts here guys. I'm with you, Inetdog! This idea stemmed from some remodel show my sis-in-law saw on cable, where from what she described - the guy tossed in some LED strips (I think) to the sides of a vanity mirror and put a diffuser in it. Looked great on TV, apparently...

Color Temp Adjustable Strip Lights for Vanity / Makeup Mirror

Most of the cheaper ones I've seen don't specify CRI - others specify 80+ CRI. Hence my hesitation.

Color Temp Adjustable Strip Lights for Vanity / Makeup Mirror

Has anyone tried out the "new" color temp adjustable LED strip lights? They offer warm white and cool white on the same strip - and use a controller (wired and wireless available) to mix the two. (~3000K to 7000K adjustable). Seems like it would be the natural selection for a lighted vanity...

My first knife - suggestions welcomed !

IMO - you just can't go wrong with a Spyderco. Great blades for cutting/slicing. Wouldn't want to pry with one, but love to cut with them. Check the police model for something a bit bigger, if you want.

New to multi tools, need some help!

My BLast is my EDC. They are a bit stiff at first. The scissors are PHENOMENAL (provided you dont mind taking tiny snips...) I use Tri-flow lube on mine once in awhile. Warranty service on them is GREAT, if you ever abuse your tool and need it repaired. Or, if for some reason you saw down a...

Leatherman delivered missing a blade !!!!

I have to chime in here, as a Leatherman owner of many years. I have had 2 of them. I only got the 2nd one because I lost the first one. However, before losing it - I had it repaired twice. Once, was for a blade snap, the other was for a pliers snap. Both snaps were TOTALLY my fault, but the...

    How To Mod a Maglite P7 - 38 PICS

Wow. I've been reading this forum for like 14 hours now. This is my first post, as I wanted to let the OP know that his photographs are awesome and the detailed instructions are great. I never knew there was such a "big" flashlight modding community, or how incredibly involved and fascinating...
