Which smaller light running on A or AA has the biggest WOW factor?

I have a Xeno E03 and have always wonder how a 14505 3 volt lithium primary AA would be like. I have used Nimh and 14500's but never tried a 14505. I was just wondering how the output is compared to a Nimh and 14500 rechargeable. Runtime?

looking for a xm-l pocket thrower

I would say the Dereelight dbs with nailbender xml dropin for one 18650 battery. It my be a little bigger but throw is about 25 k lux with a xml.

    Tiablo a9

I think thats a great choice because if you don't like the beam or want more light, you can just upgrade the pill will a xml and it will be a fantastic thrower and will very bright spill.

    Brightest AAA keychain light

I am looking for the brightest in terms of lumens wise keychain light that runs off of a single AAA nimh battery. Most of the lights that I have seen are all around the 70 lumen mark. Is there any available that is brighter up to 120 or more lumens. I don't really care about runtime too much...

    Tiablo a9

I don't think the difference would be that much between the Q5 and R2. I have the Q5 and the throw is amazing. I don't have a light meter but in my eyes it seems to out throw my DBS with a R2 driven at 1.2 amp. I am still puzzled at why my A9 seems to out throw the DBS especially given that...

Decided on Dereelight DBS V3 - but which one: XML or XP-G R5???

I have a thrunite xpg pill driven at 1.5 amp a xre r2 driven at 1.2 amp and a nailbender xml dropin driven.at 2.4 amp and the xml out throws both of them. I don't know why but my xre r2 could only throw about the same as my xpg pill. I would imagine a nailbender xml driven at 3.1 amp would be...

Smallest 25K Lux, 500+ OTF lumen multi mode light?

I have a Dereelight DBS with a nailbender xm-l dropin and it is very bright. I would say easily over 500+ lumens and the throw would be close to 25k lux. It out throws my Tiablo A9 which is around 20k lux and also a lot brighter spill with the xm-l DBS. I cant find anything else that small...

    Direct drive Cree XM-L questions

Thanks for helping in clarifying what Vf meant. I was under the impresion that if Vf for a xm-l was 3.3 volts at 3 amp then if my power source/batteries supplied 3.3 volts then the led would be driven at 3 amps. I measured the current again when the batteries were half discharged and I got 2.5...

Review Trustfire X6 SST-90 OUTDOOR BEAM SHOTS ADDED

Re: Review Trustfire X6 SST-90 Lots O Pic's Can you do beamshots with the dereelight xml? Does it have the dereelight 2.5 amp driven pill or is it a different pill? I also have a dereelight with the nailbender xml pill and was wondering if you can test out the lux meter on you the dbs xml.

    Direct drive Cree XM-L questions

I was just planning on making a homemade led lantern and have been messing around with the direct driving the xm-l led. I used 4 eneloop nimh batteries totaling 5.6 volts. I measured 3.3 amps of current going to the led. Is this too much for the xm-l led to handle? I know that the xm-l is...

Lights that can use p60 style pills not the whole drop-in.

I think you guys are misunderstanding what I am asking so let me try to clear it up a little more. I already have a solarforce l2 p60 host. I am not looking for a p60 host. The p60 dropins come with the pill and then the reflector. The pill is screwed into the reflector. The DBS has a...

Lights that can use p60 style pills not the whole drop-in.

Any lights that would allow me to just screw in the pill like the Dereelight DBS. I think modding might me to hard for me to do because I don't have the proper tools.
