Any information on this Sylvania 8 amp charger?

Thanks for the responses. Well I went back and re-read the manual. This is what I can decipher. This is the 8 amp model that can charge 12 and 24 batteries. The lower amp models 6 amp and lower don't do 24 volt but give you 6 and 12 volts. Cycling through the modes you can chose 12 or 24...

    Worse flashlight feature by far

A few years ago I was given a flashlight that runs on water. You could find these in the as advertised on TV section of some stores. They sold for about $29.99. You immersed the 'power cell' in water for a few minutes, dried it off and installed in the flashlight. To make it look more impressive...

Funky behavior from Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) 12 volt batteries

I usually use a Battery Tender 1.2 ah charger or the pb function on a Junzi i-charger. I will try using a Noco in desulfator mode. Perhaps this may help. I'll also try flipping it over. Thanks for the suggestions. Dave

Funky behavior from Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) 12 volt batteries

Should have been more clear, these batteries are completely disconnected and have had no load applied to them for the past few months. Regards Dave

Funky behavior from Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) 12 volt batteries

I keep a few SLA batteries around for UPS units. They were all purchased new and are stored at room temperature. Various brands all made in China. Age of the batteries is 3 months to four years. Sizes are 18ah, 14ah and 7ah. Every three months I top up the charge. They have never been heavily...

What flashlight company has the best warranty

ArmyTek. I have three headlamps. They replaced one light a couple of years ago. Currently, I am waiting for a replacement Wizard Pro. Armytek claims to have sent it and have provided a tracking number and I have no reason to doubt them. They have a "ten year warranty" but you need to jump...

Enloop / Duracell in storage since December 2008

Hello Everyone: I just cracked open a new package of Duracell rechargeable AA cells I purchased in December 2008. Before doing a break in cycle on the Maha C9000 I put them through a discharge cycle at 1000 ma to see well they retained a charge. Here's the results: Given storage of 42 months...

Very noob question about 18650 battery - can the plastic be peeled off?

Can anyone identify the manufacturer of these cells?

    18650 Rechargeable Lithium Battery?

Your M1X does not like flat top cells. It will not work with AW or Redilast 2600 / 2900 mah cells unless you place something on the tip of the cell to make it smaller. The large top of the cell will not make contact with the positive terminal of the light. Make sure you purchase 'button top'...

Any owners of both Fenix TK35 and TK41 discuss benefits and disadvantages of either?

I like them both very much and will be keeping them. I have to give a small edge to the TK35 because I am lazy. It's much easier to swap out two 18650 cells than eight AA ones. Regards, Dave

    Jetbeam M1X version 4

My M1X will not work with flat top cells. You can use a small magnet on the top of the first cell to make the connection to the positive pole, but some discourage this practise. Regards, Dave
