    Sad news,James was good to us at CPF,I took part in the BOGO he offered us a few years back.One of my first led lights was a Pal light.I have quite a few of his lights,and gifted quite a few more.Sorry to hear of his passing.

    I dont have one, but around the house and checking the dogs and burgers,should be fine.The one I use to check my grill has half the lumens than that one and it works out ok.

    I was playing with the demo light at HD yesterday,like you said that thing was a bear to turn. The 4-aa battery set up has me looking at it.
