Re: Possible problem w/Acebeam UC15?
Yes, I agree. I'm saving up for the Acebeam X80 and even though they have it available through amazon, I'll buy it direct from andrew-amanda.com to maximize their profit.
Re: Possible problem w/Acebeam UC15?
Oops! I transposed two digits. The Acebeam 320mAh 10440s test at 4.01 volts. The eFest 350mAh 10440s test at 4.12 volts... and...
Bingo! pc_light turned out to be correct! I didn't know about the "lock-out" feature on the newer versions of the UC15. I...
Hi... I’ve got an Acebeam UC15 where the switch has stopped working. I’ve tried both the included Acebeam 320 mAh Li-Ion 10440s and a set of efest 350 mAh button-tops (tested at 1.40-1.41 volts) AND 2 sets of eneloop pros (testing at 1.29-1.31 volts). I can feel and hear the switch click, but...
It looks like the Acebeam 10440 batteries that come in the UC15 package are NOT protected. Has anyone tried the UC15 with protected cells---will protected cells fit?
Thanks to everyone... I'll buy the eFest IMR 10440 for the Acebeam UC15... and will also get a couple of the eFest 26650 for my Acebeam EC-50 Gen III flashlight.
AS AN ASIDE: looking at the eFest website, it looks like they're not developing the 10440 any more. I'm hoping they're working on it...
I haven't seen any recent (within the last year) threads about sources for high-quality 10440 batteries. What are CPF users using and where are you getting them?
Hello, I’d like to revive this older thread, as I’m also trying to find a good, reliable, well-made flashlight for nighttime reading where I regular nightstand lamp is too bright for my wife (who is trying to sleep).
Let’s ignore the flashlight vs headlamp discussion; I’m just interested in...
I fully agree. I’ve ordered a Neoteck DM6000pro (upgrade of PM18) with 6000 count resolution. This one was only $34 through Amazon.
My research discovered that Greenlee multimeters are re-badged Brymen units that seem to be very highly regarded (obviously not at the level of Fluke meters). I’m...
Thank you, StandardBattery, for pointing out my errors in testing and analyses. You're right, it was incorrect/inappropriate of me to make comparisons between NiMH, LiOn and Eneloops---they are very, very different chemistries.
.
While I did err in making some not fully accurate assumptions...
Odec batteries are available through Amazon. Since I bought them, I did a little research... couldn’t find a manufacturer’s website, so no battery specs... I learned my lesson, though, and will stick with highly-rated batteries that CPF people review/recommend. Thanks for suggesting Tenergy...
I have a new XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus charger and began recording data before-and-after each charge/refresh/test cycle. I had bought 8 Odec C-cells through Amazon and was eager to see the results.
To explain what's in each column:
col 1: IGNORE, simply a # assigned to a battery
2: manufacturer
