    Any of the large Coleman running kerosene or Coleman fuel are 500 candle power, too bright to look into outdoors during the day. Very bad for your eyes.

    A new light is going to be fun but did you consider using a lanyard would prevent loss of anything carried in the woods. Do you have a diffuser for your surefire backup? Great option. Have you looked at the Malkoffs? give your battery choice and you will get more suggestions .

    Have you purchased the TIR optic for the golden dragon yet? have you compared the mr-16 halagon to the LEDs for brightness and throw? Just figured out that mr16 IR is just a coating on the inside of the reflector to bounce the heat back to the filament. boy do I have egg on my face. good...
