    Nitecore SRT7 problem

Yes, I have a pair of tweezers that I use to screw in the aluminum switch retainer in the tailcap. I part the tweezers and put the tips into the holes, then turn them clockwise until it tightens. If this doesn't work, you can get an improved tailcap at Amazon for less than ten bucks. Do let...

LED EDC comparison - Surefire E2D(L) LED vs. Klarus XT10

Yep, the aforementioned Klarus XT2C. Having a thinner body it offers great flood, which I need more than throw these days. Mine lights up my entire back yard and most of my neighbor's. Very reasonably priced, too.

LED EDC comparison - Surefire E2D(L) LED vs. Klarus XT10

🔦 Re: LED EDC comparison - Surefire E2D(L) LED vs. Klarus XT10 Well, while being slim and having a pocket clip are certainly good reasons for carry, I'd take the Klarus XT-10 because I've been in dire need of a light and didn't have one because of bad runtime. It was on top of the Palm Springs...

    🔋 🔦 Battery Voltage

Will rechargeable CR123A 3.7-volt batteries harm most modern flashlights that take two of them? My old Inova flashlights can't take batteries that are more than 3 volts without eventually being fried. And they don't take 18650 batteries, so I had to find some rechargeable 3-volt CR123s. But I...

    🔦 Can Klarus XT2C Take RCR123A 3.7V?

Don't know if there's too much voltage in these batteries or not. Will the extra voltage of these rechargeable batteries hurt the light?

2010 Inova X5 and Rechargeable Batteries

Thanks. Guess that's the way to go!

2010 Inova X5 and Rechargeable Batteries

The 16650 is a single battery rated at 3.7 volts, so it wouldn't be a problem. But the light is rated for two CR123A batteries and 6 volts. I've got a bunch of RCR123A batteries at 3.7 volts each. Instead of 6 volts, I'd be running my lights at 7.4 volts. That's not a problem with many lights...

2010 Inova X5 and Rechargeable Batteries

I have a few of these lights in white, green and UV, but in the recesses of my mind I seem to remember that I can't use regular RCR123A 3.7V batteries because they would be too much for them and fry either the lights or the circuitry. Is this true? I'm presently using 3V rechageables with no...

If consider budget knife from China store, which brand you would choose?

Although I appreciate great and good knives, many people just want something they can carry daily that isn't utter crap. In fact, my first locking knife came from a Dollar Store. And that's one thing I recommend in a knife. Get one that locks. Most pocket knives have traditionally been slipjoint...

    Klarus AR10 (XM-L2 U2) Review

🔦 Klarus AR10 (XM-L2 U2) Brightness Issues I just got my AR-10 today and am both happy with it but also mystified. After charging it, I shined it against the ceiling. I'm not one for throw in most of my lights because I just don't have any bigfoots in the woods (and if I do, I don't want to...

Review: Skilhunt H02C XML Color RGBW 18650 headlamp- w/ video runtime tests

The flashlight can be vastly improved by creating a mode where green, red and blue would flash alternately. Maximum output is unremarkable in all settings (450 lumens for two hours, top output depending on the batteries). CR123A batteries cannot be used -- only 18650, meaning that the light...

    Review Klarus RS20: “Twin-Eye” light, UPDATED, 1050 Lumen, XM-L2(U2) LED+ 4-color LED

I'm curious how effective the "Moonlight" mode in green is. The runtime is published as an incredible 982 hours with a green flood of 1 lumen. In other lights the lowest output is point-1 (.1) lumens. Being completely unfamiliar with such low levels of light, what can we expect of them? I have...

    🔋Klarus Dual-Polarity 18650 Battery Question

The dual polarity battery is designated as a 18650, but it increasingly appears to be a proprietary cell for the Klarus RS20 and similar newly designed Klarus flashlights. It enables batteries to be inserted into the flashlight without regard to polarity. It also aids in the charging of the...

    🔋Klarus Dual-Polarity 18650 Battery Question

I ordered a spare Klarus dual polarity 18650 battery with my Klarus RS20 flashlight and had some questions. First, though most 18650 batteries claim to have a 500-cycle lifespan, the Klarus batteries claim a lifespan of 300 cycles. Why is this? Also, if I were to charge the Klarus batteries...
