    What degree diffusion lens is in the Wildcat 18650 stock? ( I see on his site it is 10 degrees). I am guessing 5 degrees makes it diffuse less. What changes does the 5 degree diffusion lens make to the beam? Is there a hot spot at all? I like the lanyard ring too. Nice setup.

    I have a more recent cool version in a VME on a 1aa body and it has decent output for around the house and in normal back yard. I also have an older warm version in a 2D Maglite with the Malkoff adapter on two D NIMH. I leave it sitting by my back door and grab it for everyday things fairly often.

    I am really liking the newer 16650 light as my work light. Replaced the old 16650 with the new neutral and had a stainless bezel sitting around I put on there. Makes it even cooler IMO. I use it 5 days a week pretty hard.

    Anyone using the MDC XP-L 16650 ?

    The 16650 is my EDC at work. Never failed me, dropped numerous times, etc. I went ahead and ordered the new one also. It was enough of an upgrade. I got the neutral version also. I think the version I have now is 500 lumens on high.

    I don't have the SHO, but my M61 450 lumens is just slightly dimmer than my 600 lumen G2X Pro. If the SHO is only half as bright I would let Malkoff know. Maybe you somehow go shipped the wrong head. I've always liked the G2X Pro, but I wish it was potted and took 18650s. I've go the old M61HOT...

    Good all round light for under $300

    Malkoff MD2 SHO with high/low switch is 11K lux. Much easier to pocket than the HD Super. Voltage range looks to be 3.8-9. That's pretty flexible.
