Just got my first Surefire.... good purchace?

well, could be worse then. Aside from a slight nick (and of course the wrong tailcap, which is being fixed), the thing looks brand new. I guess while i am waiting for the new tail, ill have to decide what to do with it. I am trying to find 17500 batteries, but all i see are the UltraFire...

Just got my first Surefire.... good purchace?

So, long story short, found a Surefire M3LT-S sitting in the back corner of a pawn shop. They were asking 210, but since you could see it had been there a while, I talked em down to 150. http://imgur.com/d89Qol2 http://imgur.com/JaU9vZE All in all, it feels good, though the tailcap is...

New upgraded Maglite Mini Pro 272 lumens

Hairy, stranded? Perhaps no... Annoying, yes. Walking back to the campground after some night fishing, with a storm rolling in, getting caught with a flashlight that couldn't live up to my basic demands and required that i go on without it, is the reason why i look to modern technology now...

Chance I have damaged my light?

No, didn't mod anything at all.. But could have been more.. I didn't notice it on.. A coworker pointed it out. Well, least it isn't expensive to replace down the line.. ;-)

Chance I have damaged my light?

I can't be totally sure, but I don't believe it was running more than 10 min. The unit itself is a p60 from intl out.. Copper base, AL foil between the drop in a different body.. I am hopeful that the body being so hot was good heats inking..

Chance I have damaged my light?

Thanks for the hints on what to look for. The dome and phosphorus look fine, so I will keep an eye for now, and hope for the best.

Chance I have damaged my light?

So, I know the saying... Heat kills. Well, I just noticed that my light was on, and on full blast... Once I felt it, it was too hot to hold.. It has since cooled, and has not displayed a problem. It is a xml2, copper base, and well connected to the body (heat transfer). Ideas on...

    Solarforce Z1 and Z2

Received my Z2 the other day, and i love it. It is really sad to see nice little lights like this not get more love here. $17 shipped for an XP-G2, watrerproof, well built. Ah well, i guess some secrets are best kept secret.. ;) In terms of use.. it has replaced my TK15 for EDC. Yes, it is...

    New tacticool flashlight at.....Walmart!!

ACtually, for what its worth, you can see that it is an XM-L (not a 2 though.. the PCB is green on top). Watts = Amps x Volts In this case, they are looking at 8.4v, so the LED is being pushed to 10W, it is receiving ~1.2Amps.

    New tacticool flashlight at.....Walmart!!

Ironically, i picked one up as the display was being put out, and found the price at the register. While i did buy it, i ended up returning it, still in the package: - Tail cap is rear clickly - Mode selection does not hide the SOS beacon - Front lens is very cheap plastic - Not waterproof For...
