    Coleman White Gas Lantern conversion?

Here's where all the Coleman-heads hang out. Great bunch of guys and they know everything about Coleman lanterns: http://colemancollectorsforum.websitetoolbox.com/ Maybe you don't have enough wire in the gen and you are getting too much fuel? Air intake clean? You can't buy gens for this...

Anybody tried a TerraLux 2AAA penlight?

Just got my Lightstar 80 last night and gave it a run on Rayovac Hybrids. I got the same results as Stream, about 4.5 hours on NiMH with decent regulation. No perceived brightness difference between the supplied alkalines and NiMHs either. Very nice little inspection light: good finish...

    New Poor-Man's top 10

This thread was doomed for failure from the start when "Poor-Man" wasn't defined with a price range and sticking to standard cell sizes (AA & AAA).

My new 21 year old Coleman propane 2-mantle (question about coleman dual fuel also)

This seems to be a good thread about the Northstar from lantern enthusiasts: http://colemancollectorsforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/Northstar-Dual-Fuel-5603819 If you don't mind a China-Petromax, you might want to search for "stpaulmercantile" who sells the Butterfly (base for Britelyt?)...

My new 21 year old Coleman propane 2-mantle (question about coleman dual fuel also)

Sorry, I don't anyone who's currently importing the Bundeswehr lanterns to the US. Apparently this last happened around a decade ago and they sometimes pop-up on fleabay and the like. I see that one guy on the bay is still selling them directly from Germany, but you have to pay $$$.

My new 21 year old Coleman propane 2-mantle (question about coleman dual fuel also)

Just remember, it's really not a good idea to use a Petromax with gas/CF. Kerosene only, despite the claims of the sales literature. http://www.petromax.nl/petromax_tale/petromax_myth.html You better do a little websearching on BriteLyt. I think most of their stuff is on backorder anyway...

    Budget Showerhead Mag Drop-in.

Re: Budget Showerhead drop-in for Mag. Fusion 36, now available in warm. It sounds like it's time to invest in a bottle of Deoxit. :) Just received the showerhead in the mail today. Great upgrade! Very pleased with the performance in my 4D Maglite with half-dead akalines; it makes the old...

Rayovac Extreme 300 Lantern - replacing the LED (Mod)

I just ordered some 2AA -> D adapters from ebay. [link removed] From the pictures, they seem a little nicer than the adapter DX sells but are a bit more expensive. Ideally, it would be nice to get cheap 3AA -> D (parallel) adapters, but they don't seem to exist.

Difference between coleman 1 mantle kero. and dual fuel?

Well, this is as good a time as any for my first post. I own a Coleman 639C. First off, there are some obvious differences between the two lanterns you mentioned, the biggest being the 639 is a one mantle lantern versus the two mantles of the 285. Having used mine for awhile, I think the big...
