    No disrespect, but I think it looks way better without the clip (regardless of how it is executed) and is small enough to be easy to carry without one.

    Got my first TriV

    Not an expert, but I think Dave chose the default power levels so that you can run them constantly without worrying about anything. I would say it's fine if it gets warm but not so hot that it's uncomfortable to hold it.

    I love 1x123 lights. For example, 1x123 McGizmo Haiku is just of the perfect size, goldilocks — not too small to be uncomfortable to grip, not too big to be a burden for an EDC light.

    Could you please elaborate on your choice of CR123 setting for 16340 please? If I understand correctly the threshold is 2.5v for that setting, but rechargable 16340 shouldn't be discharged over 3.4V ideally. Do you rely on the built-in battery protection in this case?

    Does the flat surface go closer to the tail of the Bow Ti version than it does on the additional finish versions? From the photos it seems the curved ridge is thicker near the tail cap for finished Sapphires. If so, was it done on purpose?
