Is the Intl-outdoor store legit? Prices on XM-L2 stars are very low.

Just placed the order...and I happened to see the shadow bike lite with an XML in it for $60 with the 3X18650 rechargeable pack and charger. I couldn't make one this cheap. Thanks again!

I am about to pull the trigger on 20 XM-L2 LEDs , 10 T6s and 10 T3s. I have always used Bridgelux LEDs from Newark, but I want to make some high output bike lights and some small landscape lights. The XM-L2s seem to be the way to go. Why are these LEDs so cheap? They are even mounted on stars...

    First Build!

Hey brucesparky, if you ever find your way back to CPF, can you update us with your progress and results? I'm about to make my first bike light and had a similar idea.

    Refrigerator LED Bulb

Re: LED appliance bulbs I was just looking into the same thing, we just bought a new kitchen aid fridge with halogens. I loved the look of the LEDs in the bosch, but the price tag was too steep. I'm not concerned with energy savings, just the cool look of the LEDs. Hopefully someone like Switch...

    Luxeon tristar wiring.

029 by egghead2004, on Flickr[/IMG] I just got these in the mail today and am anxious to mount them and test. My only question, Is there a way to solder all 3 LEDs together in series without using 6 wires? Can I just connect 1+ to DC+ and 3- to DC- and make little jumpers from 1- to 2+...

Anyone have experience with color LEDs? Trying to light up the front of a restaurant.

I see all the crees out there, but they are not on stars, or maybe I just have not found them yet. I'll have to learn how to mount the LEDs to stars.

6000+ sq/ft lit up with 22,000 lumens by Bridgelux LEDs

The units are made from 2 1/2" * 1 1/2" aluminum U channel. 1/8" thick and 30" long. I used an epoxy to put the end caps on, then silicone for the plexiglass cover. For the mounting/junction box I used 6" of the U channel, again with the end caps epoxied to the U channel. Then Bolted the 6" box...

Anyone have experience with color LEDs? Trying to light up the front of a restaurant.

A friend of mine runs a small Chinese restaurant. He wants me to replace their CFL and old FL tube lighting outside in the front of the building with LEDs. I was going to use warm white shining down from the eaves with bright cool white on the sign. Now he mentions colors. I haven't done...

Anyone planning to do or re-do their deck lighting this year?

I plan on doing that this summer as well as my eaves like others have done. I have very wide railings where there is an empty cavity in between each baluster. I am thinking of mounting a small LED in there about every 6 feet. Then run them on dimmers. We'll see if there is enough cash.

I've spoken with Digikey, all of their notes show the product as discontinued by the manufacturer. Not sure what is going on, I bought some last fall.
