Has Anyone Received a Lummi Order Recently? 18 Months and Waiting...

So to be clear, you purchased it this year from "Orrbott" and you can confirm Rob is running this new business? I'm glad you got it. I wanted a Raw for a long time, got so close to ordering one but it was a tough time for me and couldn't justify it.

    AN/TVS-3 project

I would think an off-the-shelf water pump would be easier and cheaper, unless you're trying to restore them as close to original as possible. Do you have an estimate on the amount of heat you need to get rid of?

I've been watching them for a while. How do you like the switch/UI?

This Nipple thing is driving me crazy...

This thread started as a discussion about NiCad batteries - your problem is unrelated. That said, I'm 90% sure you removed the shrink wrap meant to stay on the cell. The "nipple" is now referred to as a "Button Top", that's what you'll see when shopping. Standard cylindrical LiIon cells like...

Master thread for disasters and generators.

Does natural gas service keep working in a widespread outage? I've wondered how much infrastructure is required to keep it flowing. I know it's compressible but the line pressure is very low, and with all of the branching it does in cities I imagine there need to be booster pumps not far away...

Recommend me a Red LED flashlight for stargazing

Would it help to use a headlamp for what you're doing? When I photograph at night I like to have my hands free, and many headlamps have a red beam option. The Nitecore NU25 would be a good example, and under $40. Then you also get two white beam options for other tasks. Most of the examples you...

I'm liking my Sofirn D25L rechargeable headlamp.

I've also had a lot of bugs fly at my face while I'm walking outdoors with a headlamp. To get around it I got one with an amber secondary light, and it works much better. For a long time I've wanted a headlamp that has a high-CRI beam and amber. Well Emisar now offers the D4W which is basically...

How to wire 300 blue LEDs?

Best or easiest? I would just buy a string of holiday lights. What kind of LEDs are you trying to work with?

    Some advice please

Does the fan run based on the mode, or the actual temperature? I think if you were to dial back the output you could avoid the noise, and still have one of the brightest lights. If you buy a different light you're just moving the hard limit back due to the passive cooling.

New Product - Nitecore NU06 LE Multi-Color Signal Light

This looks like it would be good for a PFD marker light, but without IP67 rating at least I wouldn't feel comfortable using it around water that much.

    Cheers to KillZone Flashlights!

I ordered from them once, got a couple of Skilhunt lights, and it went smoothly. They have a good selection and they have a charger I want.
