The ThruNite Neutron looks awesome, but is it for me?

I've been planning on ordering this one, too. I'm pretty sure the neutron does have a moonlight mode. Long click from off to select it, I think.

    Unhappy with Zebralight

To the OP. ZL can be customer service hell. Been there, done that. But in this case I agree with Walkie. You have nothing to complain about. Take the free service offer from ZL and send your light back to them. At least they're willing to give you service!!! They must be thinking, "no good deed...

    thoughts on cr2 vs cr123

CR2 or CR123? How about, neither. Get a AAA light, and use rechargeable enloops in it. Or AA if you don't mind something bigger. I hear you can now get 500 lumens out of a single AA light. Why risk carrying a lithium-ion grenade next to the jewels by your pocket?

A Kudos to Surefire's warranty and customer service.

Lol. Whenever a salesman tells me something is "free", I immediately question my entire purchase. There's no such thing as a free lunch. My rule #1: Never buy an extended warranty on anything, especially electronics. The warranty is just pure profit to the company and salesman.

A Kudos to Surefire's warranty and customer service.

E1L affordable, really? Okay, it's not going to bankrupt you, but over $200 for a 2-mode light with a max output of 90 lumens? Maybe that was worth it 10 years ago, but today that's a pitiful standard. And then they get to charge you $2 per battery to run it. It's my opinion that it's a waste...

A Kudos to Surefire's warranty and customer service.

That warranty service is factored into the price. You're paying 2x or 3x more than a comparable light from other manufacturers. If you're a cop, you don't care since it's the taxpayer that is paying for your lights and batteries. If you're not getting someone else to pay for your light, I don't...

    New Zebralight SC5

ZL, instead of coming out with vaporware, how about fixing your quality issues and customer service?!?

Are third generation eneloop is still manufactured?

While that may be true, the manufacturing date has nothing to do with fakes. If they can fake a wrapper, they can fake a date code.

Are third generation eneloop is still manufactured?

Why would they be fake? Does the entire manufacturing line switch over to the next generation all at the same time? I don't see why they can't produce both 3rd and 4th gen at the same time, until all lines are ready to switch to the new process and all produce 4th gen. Better to switch over the...

    Please help. Cracked Lens

Right. I guess that explains why China is kicking the USA's *** internationally and has to bankroll the USA. And why China has a manned space program, and the US has to beg Putin to get to the ISS. All because USA glass is better than Chinese glass. Frankly, I'd rather suck at glass.

    smallet "long throw" handheld light

Buy a hand-held zillion-candlepower spotlight from a hardware store if you're just looking for throw. Yeah they lie about the zillion candlepower but the 100 watt bulb still throws further than a LED light.

Seeking 1xAA recommendations.....must be less than fifty dollars and have LOW mode.

Re: Seeking 1xAA recommendations.....must be less than fifty dollars and have LOW... Zebralights are okay, but prepare for customer service hell if you run into problems. And their quality control is pretty bad. For my money I'd stick with 4sevens. Get the QP2A-X with an optional 1xAA tube...

    HDS Systems EDC # 16

I'm not a HDS fanatic like some people but I did want to buy one until I found out there's no AA model. I do feel stupid for paying that much money for small flashlight but I've wasted money on dumber stuff than that. As far as value goes that's subjective. It's worth exactly how much money...

    ZebraLight Cust Serv/Quality

I'm talking about people complaining about minor imperfections on a sub $100 flashlight. Things like not liking the tint, or some minor anodizing issues, or a LED that isn't perfectly centered. Does the light work? YES, it does. It turns on, it has all the modes, it's waterproof, etc. Don't...

    ZebraLight Cust Serv/Quality

Sure, then expect to pay for all that service and quality. Just don't expect to get it on a sub-$100 electronic gadget. (Especially not a printer, which they practically give away for free so they can sell you overpriced ink cartridges.)
