A visit to Malkoff Devices, Part 2! (with pictures this time, pic heavy even)

Nicely done. Good to see the master in his element there. Gene has some excellent craftsmanship put into his creations.

    Nichia 219C

Looks promising. I'm all for advancements in the High CRI arena.

    TITAN PLUS

I got my hands on the Titan Plus, paid a little more than I was expecting though... Oh well. The light feels very solid, more solid feeling than the Titan-A, heavier, but the material is different of course. Initial impressions was that the high was indeed very luminous for a keychain light...

    Photo Organization

Yeah, I buy memory cards and fill them up and store them like old school film negatives I guess. So having the originals and copies on my PC, I guess I kinda have a back up on the original media. I did just go out and get an external 2TB USB 3.0 drive. Now I need to find the time to sit down...

Prometheus Beta-QRv2 Copper 1 x AAA Nichia 219 High CRI Lumen LED Flashlight is the best one as of late for me.

I dream of setting up a RAID setup someday, but for now I pray my HD doesn't crash since I have yet to move them onto external media.

    *NEW* Surefire Titan-A (1*AAA, 15/125 lumen)

Just placed an order for the "A". Can't wait to see what the 300 lumens looks like in their next version.

An incandescent history lesson. Thank you...

Wow, been awhile for me back here, but I remember hangin' out in the ican forums spreading the virtues of high CRI over the new fangled LEDs that were becoming more commonplace. I have a few High CRI LEDs but been missing the clean ouptut of the slightly overdriven incans as of late. My...

How do you describe this hobby without sounding nuts?

Don't even try. Most people don't appreciate the quality, or cost, of flashlights-until they need one and you happen to have yours on you. Most consider paying over 10 bucks is crazy for a flashlight.

Flashlight and other EDC size comparison (photo)

Re: Flashlight and other EDC size comparison (photo last updated: 8 Aug 2014) Or a standard 2 D or C drugstore light that non flashaholics visiting the site can relate to. Do they even make those anymore?

Use a flashlight or not in dangerous situations

My short answer to lighting them up is NO. Longer answer is and as someone commented earlier, that some people will perceive that as a challenge and could unnecessarily escalate a situation. I feel that when you commit to lighting them up, you have now put yourself on the scene, for better or...

Surefire X400 with a Green Laser

Finally on sale to the general public this summer and I just got one myself. First light and laser combo for me. The 500 lumens is a clean white beam profile compared to my E2D Ultra which has a slight green tint. The laser is a cool green (almost teal) compared to the standard green I've...
