    Mini-HID's

Mac, I wanted to publicly thank you for a couple of things. First, for putting out a great product in the Mini-HID. The finned unit I got on Friday is not only a wonderful performer, but a good looking piece of craftsmanship as well. Second, for putting me in touch with a guy (Tom) only two...

    Mini-HID's

Mac: Is this buy still open? I'd like to do a pewter with UCL, and can paypal you anytime. Not sure of all the battery jargon, so any advice would be appreciated. I'm on the North Shore, too. Thanks, Mike

    Petromax kerosene lantern from BriteLyt?

Good thread going here. I thought about soldering the schrader cap on, or using a good sealant - permanent, I know. It is the right fitting bought directly from britelyt. The gauge works fine, and comes up to redline using one of those rechargeable air compressors, but it won't hold the pressure...

    Petromax kerosene lantern from BriteLyt?

I think in my case the fine threads just 'skip' when tightened, preventing a good seal. Almost like the cap is a hair too big. It's the schrader valve cap used in place of the pump. I could never get the pump to pressurize the tank enough to light it off. Let me know how you make out, because...

    Petromax kerosene lantern from BriteLyt?

I've got a Petromax like yours. Yes, the quality is awful. The fill cap on mine doesn't seal in the threads, and it just doesn't hold pressure. Never did. No satisfaction from the company, either. It's just a fancy paperweight. I hope you have better luck.

    Thor Conversion A Success!

My 35w/50w ballast and igniter set from Kenrad arrived today! I crimped on 3 spade connectors, tucked everyting away neatly just like a pro, and what can I say - awsome! Theepdinker's bulb adapter was key to making this a super easy conversion, and with no cutting, splicing, drilling, etc...

    Ballast / Igniter Sources?

Ya, but by going with a 25/50 watt ballast am I shortchanging myself on the 35 watt bulb (which I already have)? Would a 35/50 ballast make more sense? Maybe you could pm me the email address, or a web site.

    Ballast / Igniter Sources?

I've got the Thor body, a 35 watt D2S, Wayne's adapter (thanks), and am looking for reccomendations and sources for the missing link - the ballast & igniter. It sounds like I should probably look for a 35/50 watt unit, right? I've looked at Xenlight and Kenrad websites, but there's so many...

eBay HID searchlight? Just a thor??? $300???

So, Lotsalumens, do you have a 35w D2S that can be overdriven with a 50 watt ballast? Or is it a 35/50 bulb? Excuse me if it's a lame question. I see tons of 35 watt bulbs around, but the 50 watters are mucho dinero.

eBay HID searchlight? Just a thor??? $300???

I was the first bidder on this light, and received this from the seller after asking for the brand name: "It was originally a Thor, with an hid kit conversion installed by me. Both are brand new." I've since found this web site, ordered me up a Thor and am reading & researching the best way to...
