"Who brings a flashlight to class anyways?"

I take my A2 everywhere I go; including to school. It's come in handy a couple of times in my electronics and computer classes! ;)

    A2 Killer

My A2 is the most perfect light I have ever owned. I use it every day and carry it with me everywhere. I've never had the chance to handle a Kroma, but it looks larger and might be more difficult to clip to your belt (although I'm not sure). I do use the incan at night quite often, though, so...

    Why do people write M*g?

They can't stop you from using their name unless they have managed to suspend the First Amendment. If they'll sue you for just using their name they they're paranoid! I've seen some people do the same thing with Wal-Mart (they'll type W@l Mart or Walm*rt).

    50 lumens

My A2 is the perfect light for my uses. I use the LEDs indoors and for walking around outside at night, and I'm also glad that if I hear something (or the dog starts barking at something), all I have to do is point and press the tailcap and I have an optical cannon at 71 lumens at my disposal! ;)

Let's start a list: Lights OK with Energizer Lithium AA (L91) cells.

I know that Eveready Lithium AAA batteries work fine in my Energizer LED penlight (the chrome one that looks like something from 20 years ago; it has a pocket clip and a black click switch on the tailcap.)

    Interesting observation on the KL1

Funny, my A2 is completely quiet (than again, my hearing isn't what it used to be). I remember one of the other technicians at an electronic repair shop where I used to work fixing a big stereo system. He would disconnect the speakers and turn the volume way up and you could hear the music...

    Stainless Steel lights

I have a Garretty (sp?) 2 AA cell stainless steel penlight. It's too long and heavy to carry in my shirt pocket.

    New Pentagon Light at SHOT?

It looks like a tiny version of the right-angle head army 2D-cell flashlight. I want one!

    Disaster Ready

Re: disaster ready A very good idea for a radio to have is one of the Freeplay wind-up radios that have a spring-driven generator inside. I have 2 of them (the original Freeplay with AM/FM/SW and the smaller AM/FM version). You wind it up every hour while you're using it and it will operate...

    I'm addicted!

I've been a flashoholic since long before I knew there was such a thing! I remember buying 5 dollar penlights back when I was little (in the 80s), but one of my greatest flashlight memories was this black rechargable light my grandfather had around 1980. The back half unplugged from the front...

    bedside flashlight

Re: What flashlight do you keep on your nightstand? I keep my A2 with me everywhere I go, including my bed. As for lights that stay by my bed I have a purple PalLite and a Hummer led light that both stay on moon mode at all times.

    Emergency Flashlight

I remember (about 15 years ago) reading about salt water based batteries that could light a small incandescent bulb for about 6 hours. it used a special salt in a packet that came with it and the user supplied the tap water. All batteries rely on a chemical reaction to produce power; a car...

    So I bought an A2....

I bought mine about 2 weeks ago and it quickly became my favorite! I carry it everywhere, even during the day! It's so powerful it can light up a small hole in the ground in broad daylight! (My sister wanted to see what was at the bottom. It was empty.) I use it when walking between my house and...

When you read the specs on the Beast II and it makes your mouth water.... :)
