Thrunite Ti - Impressions and Discussion

Re: Thrunite Ti - Impressions and Discussion Sorry, I can't help you with the runtime question, but I did put a fresh L91 in my Ti 3/60 and it works fine. I was a little hesitant at first but I figured I'd try. A 10440, no way :)

    Your First EDC Light

I used to think mini-mags were the end all/be all, and never went camping or fishing without one. Then I found CPF in late '09, purchased a Quark 123-2T (first-run neutral, and so glad I did) in January '10 and have since had at LEAST two lights on me at all times, with backup batteries of...

Proper Flashlight Etiquette for Approaching a Stranger in the Dark

I walk my dog every night, and all I do when I (or my dog) notice someone approaching is turn my light on low and point it straight to the ground. It lets my fellow walker know that I'm there, and also lets them know that I know they're there. It's worked every time, and I've never had any...

LED Drop in for Surefire 6P

As asdalton said, it's going to be tough with your requirements. You might want to ask nailbender on his sales thread (custom & modified buy/sell/trade here on CPF proper) he might be able to help you out. Good luck.

IS there any flashlight brand that can rival surefire in quality and durability?

Winter and flashlights, is it just me?

I don't really find myself wanting to buy more lights (anymore than usual), but I look forward to winter because A) I like the colder temps, and B) longer nights=more light usage!

    Why arent there 5000K lights???

I have a Nailbender 5000K (3C) XPG and the tint is very nice. Not cool, not warm, reminds me of sunshine at noon. Although my ultimate favorite tint is the 4200ish 5A's from 4Seven's first run of neutrals

The Official "I want a 4Sevens/Quark NEUTRAL XML" Thread :)

I know I'm small potatoes, but my first post-CPF light was a neutral Quark 123-2 tactical (XPE Q3-5A) in Jan. 2010, and I've purchased and/or gifted a score of lights since then, but this Quark is still my favorite EDC. Beautiful tint and beam pattern. Mr. Chow is a shrewd businessman (totally...

Surefire's lack of interest in neutral, warm, and High CRI LED's

Based on what's been seen by SF, we'll see neutral/High CRI in 8-12 years, simply based on their past performance. Best to buy one of their soon-to-be discontinued incan versions and add a a Malkoff or nailbender drop-in, unless you're willing to wait a decade for a stock neutral/High CRI...

Camping trip: need help narrowing down

I've had an EOS for nearly 2 years, and if it clunked out on me tomorrow, I feel I've gotten $35 worth of use out of it. I use it at least once a week, mainly for cooking at night, either camping or on the grill at home. I only have experience with one of your other initial choices, the Remix...

    Strobe

Just my opinion: strobe is useless, and the only time it influences my decision on a light is if it's very well hidden or non-existent

Strobe tailcap for my Surefire G2L

Re: Surefire G2 LED Changing the tailcap won't get your light to strobe, you'll have to replace the stock LED with a multi-mode drop-in that has a strobe feature.

New Flashlight, The LED is off-center? Should I worry?

As in another thread, a nick in the anodizing wouldn't bother me, but an off-center LED would. I'd trade it in, if possible. In the future, buy from a CPF-recommended dealer rather than ebay, they'll be much more willing and able to swap you out for something with which you're not happy.
