Question about Magnetic Ring Mode Switching
"On a side note, you can use your SR3 or other selector ring lights to pick up small magnetic objects like glasses screws... very useful!" Good point! If I ever get a light with this type of UI, I'll have to make sure to never put down near my bench grinder.:oops:- FrankJ

Re: The Flashaholic's "Must Have" List iTp A3 EOS (what I EDC) I'm surprised no one has voted for the Stanley HID0109; ~3000 lumen for around $70. My mother-in-law has a 5 acre lot in the country and when ever I head out there, this one goes with me.- FrankJ

Which Quarks have lockout tailcaps? (LOTC)
I bought the Quark AA^2 Tactical Warm White and my tail cap does lock out, so I guess I got lucky. I remember reading in another thread where the OP asked about lock out and a number of folks chimed in that it isn't an official feature. I think 4Sevens doesn't advertise lock out because the...- FrankJ

Stanley H.I.D. and 1365 lumen spotlights (Part 2)
That converter probably doesn't handle more than 1A, if that. The Stanley overdrives the bulb at startup, to get instant-on, and is probably pulling around 5A (possibly more..) during the first 10 seconds. Something like the Black&Decker 6A converter maybe enough to get through the startup until...- FrankJ
