    Focussing multiple LED's Theory

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought maybe it was going to be about using something similar to phased-array radar to focus multiple LEDs. Would something like that even be possible with light? Now that would be cool - focusing a beam without optics!

Any "Virgin Mobile" Cell Phone Users?

I'm looking for a user of the Virgin Mobile Cell phone company to lend me a hand. As far as I can tell, I received a $30 coupon good for Virgin Mobile cell service on my receipt from the grocery store the other day, but I can't use it since I use Verizon. As I can't bring myself to just throw...

What is the better UV wavelength to detect cat pee?

The wife wants a black light to look for indications our cat has been spraying. Could get an el-cheapo "Stink Finder" or use it as an excuse to buy another flashlight. A quick search turns up one Inova and 2 Streamlights - a 390 nm light and a more expensive 375 nm light. Is the shorter...

Toyota Prius Pre and Post purchase questions.

Bill, I've read that 41/42 MPH is the point at which the ICE changes from _may_ be spinning to _must_ be spinning to limit RPMs on one or both of the MGs (I can't remember which.) Isn't this the same as the max electric-only speed? Could you point me to some references for the 35 mph info...
