    V mount and np550 batteries seem to be the universal batteries for camera related gear, but cameras themselves seem to be proprietary

    Yeah I had an okay experience... My S30 was wonky after 4-5 years, they had me send it in, 2-3 weeks later said not repairable, will mail you a new Baton 2 or something

    Has anyone tried the new Prometheus foursevens clip on the one aa battery body? My least favorite thing about the old clip is the amount it drags on the head, and the fact that the retaining ring is uneven (the clip forces it over a bit) - does the new bead blasted clip fix this issue?

    There's a 4sevens sub forum - the smart is an older, pre Prometheus product, not sure if there's full support, but they still make variations of the quarks Still a bunch of old stock supplies on eBay sold by Terry who was/is one of the support guys for foursevens

    Surprised that there isn't a warm version or fancier version of these things. I prefer these to lanterns as you don't blind yourself, but you can still throw out a lot of light

    I miss 2000s HAIII and knurling - purposeful and durable - I don't miss the purple overdriven LED, but the host was so nice in the hand Aesthetically, the Arc 4 is still one of the coolest looking flashlights

    6V "Lantern" Battery Lights - History? Anything good?

    Yeah I always saw these 6v lanterns touted for use in emergencies, but the production date and the expiration date on the bottom of them only give you about two-three years I guess that's why I don't see them on shelves at Home Depot etc anymore
